|0| Prologue

'Sebastian,' She said in a hurried but solemn fashion, 'don't forget to feed Cara and Ms Lemon! Their food is about to finish so I'll get some when I get back. I am taking Willy with me and I'll be back by 9 latest, okay?'

'Hey,' He said calmly, 'I'll take care of everything, si stop fretting, okay?' He looked into her brown eyes and she nodded, 'Good, now go have fun.' He kissed her forehead and pecked her companion who was in her arms and looking up at him those adorable gooey eyes. 'I love you two.'

'Love you, too.' With that she left, shutting the door behind her. He chuckled silently and locked the door. He then went into kitchen and there it sat on the island was a white envelope. He went closer; it was addressed to him, a messy script evidencing that.

He went forward and opened the envelope, revealing a half folded white, crisp sheet of paper and a small grey guitar peek inside it.

He then unfolded the sheet and started reading.

Choices

They are the key to the experiences we have.

Would things have been different if we had chosen some other path for ourselves? Well, that's not very a debatable subject. Of course things would be different like maybe if the particles didn't want to combust, the Big Bang won't have happened; if Adolf Hitler hadn't been saved by that WWI doctor, WWII or UN and many more things won't have been there; and if I hadn't picked that book that day, I might've never met you...

People say it is fate but nay, for me, fate might play a crucial role, but in the end it's what you choose. Thought their magnitude may vary greatly in accordance to other things. It's not like we all make choices worth a million pounds.

So back to the moot,

Some might say that choosing what to wear for a date, with the lack of information whether it is a casual one or formal, is the hardest choose they've made. And you know it's true, Aubrey for example.

Or it might the choice of an option in an MCQ exam...

They might be very little in comparison with much bigger stuff but In the end it all comes down to what you want to label it as.

Like you said, perception is what makes all the difference.

I made a lot of decisions in my life. Some caused problems whilst some solved problems. I might've regarded them as bad or good but in the end, they have made me the person I am today and in all honestly if what happened that year wouldn't have happened...I would not be what I am.

Despite all the dilemma, mistakes, joys, sorrows and fights...I've conquered everything strived for and I would thank you for being a little catalyst in all the process. Si merci, mon ami. Yes I used French because I know how much you adore that language.

In the end, Sebastian, like Dr Seuss said, I wouldn't cry that it's over; I will rather smile because it happened...

Because it got me the best thing that could've ever happened to me.

On the end note, I bet you're surprised that I wrote you a letter 'coz you know how much I hate writing letters, but I didn't have any idea of how to write this any other way.

He sat down as everything from the beginning started playing in front of eyes like it was yesterday. He remembered every detail, every single thing to snippets.

So yeah, a new story...

I know I'm a terrible person and haven't updated The Love Letter in like 45 days but i JUST FINISHED my exams this Friday not to forget they were mid terms and everyone knows how terrible they are but this new plot kept me up all Saturday night , so i HAD to write it.
