I smiled at him and he smiled back.

Sam: So, where's my brother?

JC: SAMANTHA! DO YOU SERIOUSLY NEED TO DO THAT? It was so annoying.

Then a message tone rung inside the room.

Thomas: Wait, I think that's my phone. Excuse me.

JC: Aga naman niyan bro. Make sure that you're replacing my sister with someone hot.

Then JC laughed.

Thomas: Tss.

I shook my head in disgust.

JC: So what were you up to?

Sam: The Tengs are inviting us to spend the day with them.

JC: Oh. Do you think Tom can come over?

Sam: I don't think they'd mind. I think they're already expecting us to bring a plus one or more.

I went to our little kitchen while JC went straight to the couch and do some stretching there.

I prepared hot chocos for the three of us. I placed the mugs on a tray and brought it to the table by couch.

Thomas is already there. Smiling foolishly while texting. Who could he be texting this early? And why is he smiling like that? Something inside me is killing me.

JC: Oy bro, sino yan? Kilig na kilig ah.

Thomas looked at me. OH MY! I'M DEAD!

Thomas: Someone irreplaceable.

Then he winked at me. I know that my face turned crimson.

JC gave us both a very familiar look.

JC: You two are nothing but fools. You're here with me but still you're texting?!? What a loser!

For a jerk as he is, JC's smart. Or not.

Sam: I just said thank you! I didn't know that he's here.

Thomas nodded at JC. JC stood up.

JC: I will call Nica first. Exit muna ako.

JC brought his mug and phone with him and head towards the balcony.

JC: I'M THE BEST WINGMAN EVER! Wooot!

Tho moved beside me.

Thomas: So how are you? Are you back on your normal self or am I still talking to the floating Sam?

I playfully pinched his nose that he gladly gave back.

Sam: What a jerk! I'm always in my normal self.

Thomas: Yeah, you were so normal last night that after I asked what the raven oh I mean Kiefer did to you, you turned your back on me and walked away.

I shook my head in disgust. If he only knows what I had in mind last night.

Sam: Okay, fine, I'm sorry. And again, thank you for not pushing me away.

Thomas: Yeah about that. I don't accept a simple thank you anymore.

I raised my eyebrow. Don't tell me that he wants me to treat him 'cause I am saying no.

Sam: So, what does that suppose to mean?

Thomas: There's this new restaurant that I really want to try but I don't want to go there alone. Will you come try it with me?

I gave him a familiar look. I know that he knows what I mean.

Thomas: Yes, I know. I'll pay. When did I let you pay?
