English Rose

I can't hide them, they've always been there, they won't go away

They're a part of me, I can't shake them off, they're here to stay

They're embedded in me deeply since that very first day

They're in my skin, my muscles, and my vertebrae

It's my feelings I'm talking about, they're all for you

Your shattered lonely heart I promise that I'll undo

Those precious fragments I hope will someday rendezvous

When you realise that these feelings are completely true

From the very top of my head to the tip of my toes

Running through my veins until my undying love overflows

Then you'll see my inner self that I will expose

And on my heart the words 'you'll always be my English Rose'
