Chapter 1

Okay so I wrote this book a little over two years ago and going through it now I am laughing so hard, this is a pathetic book in terms of grammar, spelling all that stuff but as well the plot is not very organized. As of right now I am going to try to fix what I can but I can only do so much. The book is best from chapter 20 onward- when my writing got better- I am trying to edit the chapters before that, and please excuse the fact that I did not use capital I's. aha with that being said please try to enjoy, and also I cannot explain how embarrassing it is to think that me at the age of 13/14 thought it would be a good idea to use my own name in this book, and I feel it would be too hard to change haha so anyways please try and enjoy and don't judge my fetus writing!!! I cannot get over how bad the first 14 chapters are especially. I'm gagging.

KELLIS POV

I take in this moment, crisp air, snow falling gently creating a soft blanket on the ground. I was blessed. Blessed to see this everyday share this moment with my best friend, getting to go back home and warm up with tea and soup, watching movies and to have a roof over my head.

Most of all the people in my life, life isn't about the things you have or what you do but its the people. The ones who make you, you, give you a place and something to share life's greatest moments with. A best friend. Family, maybe even a dog I don't know. It's having that one person that counts.

I smile looking over at my best mate rolling around in the snow making snow angels and god knows what. Plopping myself on the ground, I take a couple handfuls of snow compressing them into snowballs. Before I knew it I had been hit twice with snow, dust flying every where. He runs away knowing I am going to get his blonde ass back.

"Niall you're a douche!" I yell chasing after him, waiting for the prime moment to get him back, good. Do not get me wrong, I loved him like a brother but I want to punch the hell out of him sometimes, like now.

He runs and turns a sharp corner slowing him down. Taking this to my advantage I take a shortcut and nail him right in the arm. Cursing under his breath he reaches down to grab snow and then trips as he was still trying to run. I stop right in my tracks laughing my head off.

I make way over to him and lay beside him. "Staring at the stars again?" I ask sighing. I always made fun of him for that, since we were little I told him that was not a boy thing, that was for nerds. He always told me he didn't care what it was he liked it. That may or may not have been what really started this friendship for good.

"Isn't it stunning," He says pointing to the outline of the milky-way. It was around ten at night and all clouds had slowly passed leaving the sky empty and the darkness revealing the milky-way. He's right, it was stunning. He may seem like some care-free kid around type of guy but he also was raised right, he was smart, had an appreciation for things, but like any guy, cared about his ego at school.

"Niall?" I ask turning towards him so now my body was facing his.

"Yes, Kell?" He says, mocking my position

"Are you nervous for tomorrow? This could change it all."

"It could, I am kind of nervous but not really. I honestly don't know, all I care is that I get through and Simon likes me. Lets play footie." He says quickly changing subject.

"In the snow?" I mutter under my breath getting up to follow him.

After clearing a spot which let me tell you, took some time, and trying to maneuver in so many layers was figured out, we started playing. An hour or so later we were knackered, lying on the ground again, thinking how maybe, just maybe this would be our last normal day, that Niall's dream would come true and change it all. I smile at him knowing how happy it would make him. It makes me happy too knowing he is don't get me wrong, but I wasn't sure I liked the idea of everything changing, I wanted everything the same, and to finish school. With Niall. Graduate together.

Soon we were up and on our way home, Niall was sleeping over tonight, his mom would come over in the morning and take us to his audition. He only lived across the street so it wasn't that bad.

We got home and got changed, put on a movie and of course ate some popcorn. We were in my bed with multiple blankets covering our freezing bodies still shivering from the cold of the night, but I loved it. I loved the cold.

The credits of the movie run, as I yawn squinting my eyes, we had to get up early the next morning in order to make it to his audition for the x factor on time. I can't believe he's really doing it this time.

I lay further down in bed setting my bowl aside, I turn saying goodnight to Niall on the other side of my bed. Yes we slept in the same bed, don't you with your best friends? It makes no difference if it was a girl or a boy and a best friend is a best friend no sexual feelings so what does it matter? It doesn't. This was never awkward for Niall and I, heck we grew up taking baths together until we were nine!

"Night Ni, good luck." I say giving him a nudge on the shoulder and rolling back over to my side. He grunted a thank you, quickly drifting away. I on the other hand could not.

I laid in bed for another hour watching the snow, before I knew it I was drifting off into a deep sleep.
