Child of the light and dark

Asutashi Kenekuu

It was midnight and senior class 16 year old Asutashi was walking past the ancient cherry blossom tree (sakura tree) in the clearing in the woods; this was her favourite place in the world. She was on her way home from (combat) training. Until she saw an old helpless woman lying down looking hurt, Asutashi immediately rushed to her and made sure she was alright but instead Asutashi was attacked by this lady. Asutashi barely dodged her but the attack caught her off guard because she was tired causing a scar to form on her right eye.

The Lady laughed maniacally and showed Asutashi her true form... She was a demon named Scarlet Nightwalker.

Her long demon spear right beside her and glowed a dark, ominous colour along with her demonic armour.

Asutashi started reaching for her oblivion sword but was frozen to the spot with black magic. She watched helplessly as she was stabbed directly at her heart, and since Asutashi disliked heavy armoury she was completely stranded with no choice left but to accept her fate.

Silently, without a word Asutashi fell to the ground as petals from the ancient cherry blossom tree and slowly faded away into the depths of elimination, leaving the Scarlet Nightwalker alone smirking devilishly at her fallen foe.

When Asutashi awoke she found herself alone in an endless, colourless dimension. She began exploring her new territory only feeling her broadsword her (most precious possession) that was given to her by her first lover who died protecting her on her 13 birthday.

As she explored she noticed that she herself was a little faded and questioned it. Just then half of her vision became blurry but she only was just able to see the space around her turn half dark crimson and half pure white and two totally different beings appeared in front of her one on the dark side (The Demon King) and one on the pure side (The Angel Goddess). Then they spoke...

The Angel Goddess went first...

She said "due to Asutashi's skills, heart and admiration to help others she should become one of the children of light (an Angel)."

But then the Demon king retaliated with "but her skills are unmatched by any other beings I have ever seen and her specialty is combat. Those skills will go to waste if they join you, also she looks the part for the dark side, I mean look at the scar on right eye and her raven black hair and also her favourite colours are crimson and black."

Then the Angel Goddess spoke again and this time spoke "although that maybe true she also favours the colours white and lilac purple, but also her heart is as pure as one of ours and she is a much disciplined person!"

They argued and argued about which side Asutashi will go to but Asutashi felt she didn't belong in either the dark or the pure side, instead she felt emotionless as if she couldn't care which side she will go to because her mother was the Angel Goddess and her father was the Demon king so she will still be with family whichever she goes to but she kept feeling she was not supposed to even where she is right now or should even be choosing a side because in all her life she has tried to stay as neutral as possible.

But as Asutashi kept being emotionless and observing the situation she noticed the dimension starting to crumble and brake/crack.

Her parent's arguing has finally gone too far that they will destroy the border dimension, but even though Asutashi knew if this kept going she would fall out of life and die, so would her parents, and she did nothing but watch until her parents realised what is happening. They suddenly got into a panic since this catastrophe was far too deep for them to eliminate but then all went quiet, apart from the breaking of the dimension of course. And Asutashi wondered what is going on until her parents looked at her and her oblivion sword started to glow every single colour she could imagine.

Asutashi immediately took her sword out from its sheath and pointed it at her parents. Unexpectedly, Asutashi's parents started speaking in unison as they said "It is finally time our daughter, for you to uncover your powers as use them as you wish. You shall be reborn into your beloved world in which you grew in..." Then they said something which Asutashi hasn't heard since her love died... they said...

"We love you and we always will... we shall always be with you in every possible way that may happen... Be strong..."

Before she knew it they were crying, her dad crying pure blood and her mum crying pure tears. Asutashi was managing to hold back her tears until her parents turned into balls of floating light and was absorbed by her sword. Asutashi only got a glance of their true faces, in which she missed so much, but what got to her was the site or her beloved with them, "Nika" she whispered softly to herself. Then was gone as she started falling and falling. She closed her eyes only to feel solid ground underneath her back.

Asutashi opened her eyes and couldn't believe she was reborn back in the world in which she will forever stay in. Aware of her surroundings she noticed she was lying down in front of the ancient cherry blossom tree at exactly where she fell in battle she picked up her sword next to her which glowed as pure as her mother but its blade dark as oblivion, dark as her father.

She saw her reflection in the sword and noticed her right eye has changed and is now black and red with cracks surrounding it, on top of very pale skin but she still noticed her scar, she guessed it was there to stay. And as she gave a little giggle she noticed her left eye was pure white and lilac purple eyes and deep black for pupils ' just like mother' she thought.

She pointed her sword at the sky as she wiped pure angelic tears from her left eye and dark crimson blood from her right eye. A black wing sprouted on the right hand side of her back and a white with on the left hand side of her back. She took off at lightning speed and thought of her family her beloved Nika and softly whispered to her herself with all her heart,

"I vow to keep my promises with all my heart and... I will be strong..."
