Lukas Bondevik was a twenty-one year old, single man when an unfortunate event took place, that would change his life drastically. He was at home, and his little brother was visiting him, when Lukas fell to the ground, unconscious.

When he woke up, he found that he was in a hospital bed... And, that he was unable to move the left half of his body, except for his face, which he didn't move much anyway, so that didn't help a bit. He also didn't see depth, because he was blind on his left eye now.

Numerous doctors had rushed un, telling him the paralysis would be over soon, like the blindness, however he had to stay under twentyfour-seven care, as he had the incurable disease Multiple Sclerosis. He was told he would gradually lose all feeling and control over his body, and he would die with it. As he had no-one to care for him, he would need to stay in the hospital.

Lukas didn't want to die, he didn't plan on going anytime soon. As long as he could stand, he painted the walls. He got paint from the nurses, who felt pity for him, and he painted the walls of his room in bright colors. His favorite color, blue, was on there the most, but colors like green and red were also used a lot, and even black was used. The only color Lukas didn't want was white, as it reminded him that he was stuck in a hospital.

Everything he painted had a story behind it, like a huge, light-blue lily above his head, or the silhoutettes of birds on the wall near the window. Lukas liked to tell stories to anyone who would listen, if it was about his past or whatever fairytale he felt like changing up a little.

That was a thing he was really good at: changing the events in existing stories. He'd twist it and turn it a bit, but the stories he came up with were always just as good as the original story.

Different nurses who cared for him had felt the freedom of writing down his stories, so they could tell them to their children and the other nurses, who hadn't met him and never heard his stories.

But, after a while, things changed. Lukas lost all feeling in his left foot, and then his right foot, leaving him unable to walk. Before, he'd smile sometimes or even laugh, but once he couldn't walk anymore, he couldn't laugh anymore either.

To him, not being able to walk was a grim reminder that one day, he'd die at the hands of this damned curse they called MS, and he could do nothing to stop it. He got irritable, and grumpy, and even his brother, who was visiting as much as he could until that point, visited him rarely anymore.

The nurses, who loved him for his stories, had no interest in him anymore when he eventually stopped telling them altogether.

Eventually, the only people still visiting him regularly were his friends Arthur and Vladimir, who felt pity towards him but knew he didn't want that, so they just made him feel at ease.

That was, until a new, male nurse heard stories about the cold Norwegian, and decided to take care of him.
