Innocence

Intro

"Why Is this happening to me..." are the first word that michelle wrote in her 10' spiral notebook, it wasn't one of those fancy ones that you buy to keep your prizes work in, just a simple notebook from last school year. She ripped all her old work pages out and decided to write

"Michelle!!!", Ma Maria yelled.

See she not in such a good place right now, 12 years old and her mother just got married. " Michelle!!!" She yelled again. "Yes ma'am", Michelle replied out of breath as she ran to the front of the house where Ma Maria room is, because Lord knows if she would've called her a 3rd time that would've been her ass. "What were you doing and why were you so quite", Ma Marie asked with suspense as she sat back on her bed with The Bible on her lap.

"Nothing", Michelle replied not thinking of her answer. "Nothing!?" "what's nothing Michelle!" Ma snared. "I Was Just writing ma" she said with as little as an attitude as she Could. Saved By The bell, her little brother comes in.

"Mommy can i go outside and play" Michael asked in his "I'm the baby and I sound whiney when I talk" voice. "Michelle go in the backyard with your brother" she demanded. He jumped with joy as he ran to put his favorite spiderman shoes on.

Michelle dragged behind him as they headed to the back where their room was, as she walk down the hall she looks at her big sisters closed door wishing her life was like hers. Majesty stayed to herself with her door closed like she had a secret layer no one had access to. Michelle knew Majesty couldn't wait til next year in January when they move to their 2 story house where they will have a whole floor to themselves.

Michelle went back to her room which is at the back of the house which she shared with her little sister Mya'lee and little brother Michael, she stared down at the 6 words she wrote in her notebook and begin to daze off.

See Ma Marie had just got married 3 Years ago, but he didn't move in until 3 weeks ago. He was a dark skinned 6'0 stocky man with gray and black hair like wool. He WASN'T their daddy and that's all that mattered.

Michael on the other hand was the only one of Ma Marie's children that called him daddy. It's 5 of them Michael is 5, Mya'lee is 9, Majesty is 15 and Major 17 and just got kicked out the house last month.

Michelle hated being the middle child she felt she got blamed for everything!

"Michelle!" Her Little brother Michael yelled.

She realized she had just been standing there looking at her notebook. She put her shoes on and headed out the back door with her little brother.

Walking around the backyard with her brother was like rec time in a minimum security prison. She watched as all the kids from her school in her  neighborhood rode their bike's back and forth down the street. She wasn't allowed to ride her bike down the street only in the yard.

"Come push me Michelle" Michael yelled as he struggled to get on our homemade tire swing.

As she pushed him she dazed off again.

"Ouch!" Michael screamed followed by an high pitched cry. "Michelle!" Ma Marie yelled from inside the house as she rushed outside to see what happened. Michelle looked down to see Michael all scrapped up on the ground holding his arm.
