(A/n: sans is a flirty skele)
Your POV
You blinked, slowly opening your eyes. Your vision was blurry from your deep sleep, but you managed to make out sans standing next to you. You slowly looked up and saw a taller skeleton with a metal chest plate and a large red scarf looking down at you, his mittened hands on your sore forehead. An orange glow cornered your vision, and you felt pressure on your body. The skeleton's eyes were glowing orange, and he had a pained expression on his face. You looked to your right, and saw a large goat lady, wearing a flowing, purple dress and looking at sans. Toriel spoke, "my poor, poor child. I couldn't ever imagine what would cause them to want to do such things to themself.."
"H-huhhg?" You moaned, as the pain from your back and limbs was numbed by the mysterious orange glow and the gentle, mittened hands of the skeleton you had yet to get to know. As your glance traveled the room, it stopped when it met with sans's gaze. Something inside you heated up, and you squirmed, uncomfortable with this feeling in your chest. You realize that you've felt it before, but you haven't experienced it in so long that it took you by surprise. Something inside you made you have the urge to smile at the concerned-looking skeleton, and you did, unable to resist the feeling you've been longing to feel for so long. Sans' cheeks glowed with a light cyan blue, and he smiled a cheeky grin back at you. You heard a sniffle on your right, and looked over to see that the strange goat lady was crying. When her puffy, tear stained eyes reopened, she saw you staring at her in confusion. Then she spoke again in that motherly voice, "I am so terribly sorry my child, I wish I could reverse whatever has happened to you to make you want to do this. We will take care of you my poor child, and we will accept you for who you are with open arms." You say up and smiled at the lady, but then as she continued to speak, you zoned out of reality, staring down at your hands that were leaned back, propping you up in the bed. A familiar expression creeped onto your face, one that has aided in your venture up Mt. Ebott to find some release. You drifted off into deep thought as you daydreamed about where you should be, picturing soft, white wings upon your back, a glowing, warm halo around your sick head. You didn't know wether suicide will get you into heaven or not, but you didn't care. Anywhere was better than here, yet you still had fluffy daydreams of a heavenly happiness, with no more torture left to endure.
"Hey kid, are you alright?" A deep voice questioned, snapping you back into reality. Your soft wings faded, halo dimmed out, the imagined high leaving. As your eyes readjusted to reality, you looked over at the deep voice's source. "Y-yea. I just z-zoned out a b-bit." You stammered. Despite how you felt, especially for sans, you refused to trust these beings. You didn't know what their intentions were. Suddenly, an enthusiastic, squeaky voice you haven't heard yet yelled out at you. "HUMAN! ARE MY HEALING POWERS SUFFICING? I AM SORRY YOU WANT TO
HURT YOURSELF HUMAN. YOU SHOULD TRY TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, LIKE I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS DO!" With the sudden loudness you squealed and jumped, trembling in fear. "Papyrus dear, please talk quieter. You're scaring them." The goat lady calmly explained. Your trembling calmed as you realized that these creatures are trying to help you. You were still scared, but you felt at ease and the goat lady wrapped her warm, gentle arms around you.
"My child, what is your name?" Toriel questioned you as she handed you a cup of tea and a freshly baked cinnamon butterscotch pie. You gingerly sipped your tea, and explained "I'm (y/n)." Sans shyly grinned. "I like that name. It's pretty."
You blushed and smiled weakly. "Thanks sans." Sans suddenly lit up and reached out his bony hand. "We haven't been properly introduced! Shake my hand." You looked at him in confusion and took his hand. It was surprisingly warm, and as you squeezed, you felt a squishy pad start to deflate, a loud fart noise filling the previously tense atmosphere. You stared at your linked hands and blushed. These monsters seemed to genuinely care about you, which made your stomach churn in uncomfortable confusion. Loud chortling brought you back to reality. You looked up at the hysteric skeleton, his grin wider than ever, his eyes shut with tears spilling over. You realized what happened and started to uncontrollably giggle. Sans saw this and his face turned a cyan blue, as he watched you giggle at his dumb act, proud that he impressed you. After his laughing dimmed, he spoke "ahh, the old whoopee cushion in the hand trick. It's ALWAYS funny." You smiled at him, and he smiled back, the blush spreading. He broke the tension and said "Hey tori, I'm gonna show the kid here something. Tell papyrus or he'll worry himself to death." With that, he looked over at you. "He doesn't understand why you're here, but he feels terrible about it and really seems to care about you,(y/n)." His blue blush faded, and he grabbed your hand and then quickly changed the subject. "Ready to go?" You nodded, and right after, you felt a heavy pressure behind your eyes, your vision going blurry. As fast as it came, it left. But instead of being back in the warm cabin that you woke up in, you were in a dark, beautiful world. "We're here!" Sans exclaimed as you gaped at the beautiful world you have arrived in. Aqua blue light reflected off of rushing rivers, the black muddy path contrasting beautifully. Blue flowers littered the path, whispers escaping their gentle petals. Lily pads and cattails swayed with the current of the bubbling stream, and white particles floated past you. The beautiful sight filled you with something you've never felt. Determination. Sans' hand was still linked with yours, and you didn't have any plans to let go. A warmth grew in your chest and you grinned, looking around at the scenery. With that, you snuck a glance at sans. He was staring at your warm grip on his hand, his cheeks completely glowing a dark blue. You saw this and felt a gripping anxiety. "O-oh uh s-sorry." You let go. Sans looked up at you and laughed. "Nah it's fine. Guess the scenery got you kinda blue. Don't worry, I can lend you a hand!" You giggled at his puns, as he took your hand once again, his cheeks regaining their blue tint. You smiled at him, and he tugged on you, walking forward. "I can tell you're already having a good time and this isn't even the best part. Follow me." You followed his lead, him tugging you along. You ventured through the beautiful land with sans, crossing creaky, black bridges uneasily, laughed as sans used bridgeseeds to create delicate, flower paths upon the illuminated water, and talked to this land's friendly creatures. As you two ventured, Sans taught you mercy, and about souls and battles. Once you've traveled farther, you even fought in a "play battle" with a insecure ghost named napstablook. Your soul was weak from a lack of LV, and you swung at napstablook with a stick you found on the muddy floor. He moved to the right, and you fell forward, only to be caught by sans' gentle grip. "Woah there kid, looks like fighting isn't your forte. Next time try not to fall for me." With that he winked, and your face flushed crimson. Blooky added, "aw. I wish someone would flirt with me. I'm too lonely though.." You smiled shyly and said "aw blooky, you have us!" You hugged the lonely ghost, and sans stood back and smiled at you. "Alrighty love birds, we've gotta go. I'm gonna show the kid something." You released your grip on the flustered ghost and waved at him. He smiled in response, and you turned to look at sans. "How much longer sans? I'm starting to get tired." Sans snickered and replied "it's actually just up ahead." He took your hand once again and you followed beside him. The two of you walked a short while, and then sans led you to a dark, rocky cave. "We're here! Go on in." You looked over at him in confusion. "We walked all the way here for a cave?" He grinned and said "No, go inside. Your surprise is in there." You wearily walked inside, sans in tow. Once you emerged, your (e/c) eyes widened in amazement. The sky was black as usual, but giant blue diamonds and specks littered the sky. They glowed brighter than any star, casting blue light down onto the small clearing. A castle glistened in the distance, and the stars illuminated your shocked, (s/c) face. Sans walked over to your side, and sat down. "Sit down, and enjoy the show kitten." You sat down after him, resting your head on his bony shoulder, padded by his warm, fuzzy jacket. You shivered, running your hands along your arms, raised with goosebumps. Sans noticed and said "Hey kid, want my jacket? I'm a Skelton, I don't feel cold." You looked up at him, and nodded eagerly. "Yes, thank you so much!" He messily stripped himself of his blue, furry hoodie and gingerly wrapped it around your cold frame. "There we go, that oughta do it." You nodded at him, and he wrapped his arm around your waist, pulling you closer. "It sure is beautiful, isn't it?" You looked over at sans, and smiled. "It is. It's nothing like I've ever seen. I never want to leave this place." Sans' eyes widened and he nervously stuttered. "I-I hope you don't. I mean you don't have to-" you interrupted him by placing your hand on his. "I won't sans. I could never leave you!" You lightly punched his shoulder and he grimaced. "Ouch, asshole! You're gonna pay for that." And with that, he shoved you over. You giggled in surprise and he pinned you down. You stared up at up at him and he stared back, his cheeks growing blue again. In an attempt to break the romantic tension, you leaped up at him, knocking him back, you on top of him. Pinning him. Sans' fluffy hood draped down over your eyes, brushing against your cheeks. Sans grinned mischievously. "Touché, kitten. Touché." You both giggled, and then you released your grip. Sans flipped onto his back and sighed. You did the same, except curling into his bony yet comfortable frame. He smiled, and shut his eyes, holding you close. You stared up at the stars, but your eyelids disagreed. It had been a shocking and long day, and you were exhausted. You let your eyes droop closed, and drifted off into sleep.
