Mali said to Calum raising her hand up.

"Please, just take me home."
Calum blushed seeing people around snickering at him.

"Fine, fine. You're lucky I don't ground your ass."
She smirked.

Calum just rolled his eyes and shrunk down into the couch.

It was just him and Mali since their parents left three years ago.
Fortunately Mali was eighteen so they didn't have to go into foster care.

She's just raised Calum the best she could, and she's done a pretty good job of getting food on the table.
