I was only 6 years old when Wendy gave birth to her daughter, Sage. The guild must have celebrated for at least a week, and everyone was there. Bacchus from the guild Cuatro Cerberus was always over visiting his new wife, aunt Cana. They always took turns drinking each other under the table.
Juvia was sad because she had to stay home with sick little four year old Sylvia. But it was no problem for Romeo and Wendy, they just stopped by with Sage on the way home from the guild every day, dropping off a normally drunk Gray and a very hyperactive Rin.
Storm, Luna, Rin, and I were always playing Hide and seek with Ellias and Akatsuki from Sabertooth. Simon from Crime Sorcier, and Alexandria and Blake from Blue Pegasus. Blair, Gale, Nova, Nash, Kyle, Brock, and my brother Reiki were all hanging out with Cheyenne from Sabertooth, Jonathan from Blue Pegasus, Terari from Lamia scale, Alexia the celestial spirit, and the newest member of Mermaid Heel, Faith.
Asuka was having a shooting contest with her parents, Alzack and Bisca. There were a few times when Asuka would get annoyed with Storm and shoot him in the foot, it was really funny. I guess thats what he gets for always bugging her for lessons in how to shoot.
All of the parents were hanging out with each other. I remember master Laxus talking and laughing with Freed, Evergreen, Bixlow, Mira, Elfman and Lisanna. I can also vividly remember Natsu and Gray fighting, and my mom intervening because they knocked over her strawberry cake. Like mother like son, i guess, because Reiki had to bash together Luna and Storms heads because they knocked over his strawberry cake.
But the back room of the guild, at least for that week, was the most important room of the guild. For in that room sat Wendy, Romeo, And and Sage. I have a very strong memory of looking over the edge of a sky blue crib and seeing big brown eyes staring up at me. Her little giggle was like bells, she was so beautiful. And from that moment on, I knew that I would do everything I could to protect her.
