"Yeah, it's happening." Teddy smiled.

"Congratulations!" Candace said excitedly as she hugged me and Teddy.

"So y'all gonna stay together for the baby or nah?" Rome asked.

"No." I quickly replied. "We're gonna remain friends and be cordial. But no relationship."

"How are you gonna juggle a baby and school? You know it's gonna be hard." Candace told me.

"I know, but we already have a plan. I'm gonna take online courses for the upcoming school year, and I'm gonna move in with Teddy." I said while eating my yogurt.

"And I'm gonna get another job until it's time to enroll in the draft." Teddy added while I nodded my head in agreement.

"Sounds like you two have it all settled. I'm glad that you two put your problems to the side and decided to raise a child together. Maybe that can bring you two closer." Rome said as I gave him a light smile.

"Only time will tell." I foreshadowed.

Candace

Julian and I had walked inside of the wedding reception, hand and hand. People probably assumed that we were dating. I never left his side the entire night.

"You enjoying yourself?" Julian asked me as we stood near a high top table, looking around at the crowd of people trying to get to the bride and groom.

"Yeah, it was nice talking to your sister and your parents. I've missed them." I smiled as I turned to him.

"They love you." He said as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"The wedding ceremony was beautiful. It makes me want to fast forward to the future and live my wedding night." I smiled as I looked around.

"You never know, I might be the one you marry." Julian smirked before moving my hair out of the way of my neck and kissing it.

Julian had a problem with showing too much PDA in public. He was getting a little bit too carried away with kissing my neck.

"Alright that's enough Julian." I said, practically pushing him off of me as I looked around and made sure nobody was looking. I'm glad nobody was watching us. That was embarrassing. I really needed to stop procrastinating and have that talk with him.

"I'm sorry

"I'm sorry." Julian said as I nodded my head.

"It's okay. Just chill out a bit." I replied.

"I'm gonna go say hello to a few people. If you need anything, just text me." He said as he leaned in to kiss my cheek before walking off.

I was kinda just ready to go home. Julian was definitely the social butterfly. He knew everyone. Checking the time, I was about to sit back down before Julian walked back over to me.

"Hey, I have someone I want you to meet." Julian said as he grabbed my hand and walked me over to a familiar face.

It was Will...

What was he doing here? I hope they weren't onto me. This was about to be very, very interesting.

"Candace, this is the man who's gonna be taking over my dad's job next year. Will Torres." Julian said excitedly as me and Will stared at each other before he finally said something.

"You know, you look... You look familiar for some reason." Will said as I nodded my head and gave him a weak smile.

"You two have probably seen each other around at the office." Julian reasoned.

"Probably..." I said, going along with what Julian said.

"Nah, I know her very very well. Thanks for lying to me, Candace." Will told me before turning to Julian. Now it was obvious that Will and I knew each other. I felt super bad right now. I didn't want him to find out like this. "It was nice seeing you Julian." He said before walking off. Seeing the expression on his face, I knew he was angry. I wish things didn't go like this. It was my own fault though.

"Lying to him? What was that about?" Julian asked me as he turned to me

"Lying to him? What was that about?" Julian asked me as he turned to me.

"Julian, I have to tell you something. I need to be honest with you..." I said hesitantly. I didn't know how he would take it but it was worth a try.

"What is it?" He asked.
