Life just got complicated

Maya's Pov:

I finally wake up but not to Arabella crying no

My has been ringing non stop

I look to see who was calling me and see it was Zay

Hmm
I haven't talked to him in a while

He called

5 times

And left

13 messages

I decided to call him but this must be very important

"Hello Zay it's Maya what's wrong"

"He's back"

I felt tears streaming down my cheek

"Who"

I whispered but I knew exactly who it was

"Lucas"

I almost dropped my phone

I couldn't breath

"Um ok Zay please just do me a favor"

"Anything sugar"

"DON'T TELL HIM ABOUT ARABELLA"

"Ya I thought so but he will find out one day Maya"

"I know and when that day comes I'll deal with it but for now I want to try and avoid it"

"He keeps asking about you ya know"

"Well tell him I'm fine without him hey I gotta go somebody woke up"

"Ok bye kiss Arabella for her uncle Zay"

I laughed

"Ok I will bye"

I hanged up and walked to Arabella's room

I picked her up and sat down at the nearby chair

"Do you want to meet daddy one day"

I asked

Of course she didn't respond

She just kept giggling

I toke a deep breath and got up to get her bottle

Riley's Pov:

I was so happy

Farkle asked me out

And I know that the first time we dated didn't really
Work out but

I'm willing to try this time

I got a text from Maya

I was getting ready for my date with Farkle

Took my phone and answered

🎨-Maya 👗-Riley

🎨-I know ur going on a date with Farkle but I really need u right now please come over

I thought about it
If Maya was willing to ask me to cancel my date with Farkle then it must be something important

👗-I'm on My way

I quickly dialed Farkle to tell him I gotta cancel

"Hey Riley what's up"

"Listen I gotta cancel something happen and Maya really needs me right now how about we reschedule"

"Ok course good luck"

He hanged up and I got my car keys and kissed my mom on the cheek and went to Maya's apartment

I already had a key so I just walked in

I go to Arabella's room first and see her taking her nap

Then to Maya's room

I see Maya laying down on her bed crying

"Aw peaches what happened"

She looks up

"He's back riles"

Oh no

"You mean-"

"Yes Riley Lucas he is back Zay called me this morning and said he is staying at his house"

I started to tear up again

"Maya I'm so sorry"

I went up to her and have her a hug

"Riley what if he finds out about
Arabella and wants her or takes full custody or even worse what if he doesn't want her at all there are so many things that can go wrong"

"Shh it's gonna be okay Maya what do you wanna do go talk to him"

I asked

She shrugged her shoulders

I just gave her a comforting hug

She's gonna have to tell Lucas sooner or later

And I chose sooner
