The wind blew, causing me to pull my jacket tighter around my petite form. I shivered as I reached in front of me and grasped the door handle to the small café, opening it and entering. I inhaled deeply, the familiar scent of coffee and pastries greeting my nose. I strolled over to the counter and ordered my usual drink, getting it quickly as it wasn't too busy. I thanked the barista and sat down at a table in the corner like I normally did.

I set my phone down on the table and unlocked the screen, clicking on the Facebook app. I scrolled through it, liking some statuses and commenting on a few posts, trying to stall time while my coffee cooled down.

Finally I decided that I waited long enough and cautiously took a drink.  The warm liquid slid down my throat, instantly giving me some warmth. I smiled and took a few more drinks before setting it back down in exchange for my phone.

My friend had texted me, informing me that she'd have to cancel our plans because she had to babysit her younger sibling. I was a bit disappointed, but told her that we could just reschedule. Once we settled on next weekend, I picked my drink back up and drank some more of it.

I sighed softly, licking my lips to rid them of the caffeinated drink. I glanced around the shop, catching the gaze of another customer. It was a boy. He seemed to be around my age and he was pretty cute from what I could tell. His eyes slightly widened when he realized I had caught him looking so I smiled and gave him a small wave to let him know it was okay. He was sitting across from two other boys who also seemed to be handsome, but there was just something about the first boy that caught my eye. I noticed one of his friends nodding in my direction and smiling at him. I wondered what that was about until I was approached by a blushing teenage boy.

I looked up, locking my eyes with his. "Er, hello," he greeted awkwardly, holding his hand out.

I accepted it and shook it gently. "Why hello," I returned a greeting.

"May I...?" He trailed off, gesturing to the chair across from me.

"Oh! Of course you can sit there. I'm not expecting anyone." I brushed a strand of hair behind my ear. I introduced myself politely and waited for him to share his name as well, but he just sat there quietly, glancing at me. "What does your name happen to be?"

He blinked and blushed, scratching the back of his neck. "Ah, Jungkook. My name is Jungkook," he chuckled nervously.

I couldn't help but smile at how nervous and shy he seemed. "You can relax around me, you know. I don't bite."

He took a deep breath and I noticed his shoulders relax as he gave me a smile. "I'm sorry, I just told my hyungs that I thought you were pretty and they made me come talk to you. I'm not very good at this kind of thing," he explained.

"That's alright. I'm not very good at this either, so we should get along great," I giggled, smiling widely at him.

That was how it all began.

After that, we began to talk about the things we liked and found out that we had some similar interests and tastes. After about three hours and two more coffees, I figured it was time to go.

I drank the last bit of my coffee and sighed, looking up at Jungkook. I didn't want to leave, but I knew that I needed to get back to my apartment before it got too dark.

"Hey, Jungkook," I started and he looked up after hearing his name. "I should really head home, as it's already getting a bit dark. Thank you for sitting with me. I've had such a great time with you today."

Jungkook smiled shyly at me and nodded. "I've had a nice time with you today as well. Thank you for letting me keep you company. I'll let you go, but only on one condition."

"And what is this condition?" I asked curiously, raising an eyebrow.

"You have to give me your number and let me take you on a proper date."

I immediately felt heat rising to my cheeks and I glanced down at my hands wrapped around my empty coffee cup. "I suppose I can do that," I replied, glancing up to see him looking a bit surprised. He handed me his phone and I put my number in.

As I did so, I heard him mumbling to himself. "Didn't think that would actually work..." I held in a giggle and handed his cell phone back to him before handing him my own phone.

He quickly added his own number as a new contact and returned my phone to my hand.

"Text me when you want to take me on that date, okay?" I smiled at him as I got out of my seat.

He walked with me to the door of the café and opened it for me. I thanked him and sweetly pecked him on the cheek as I exited the shop.

Through the window as I passed by, I noticed him sitting back down with his friends and they each gave him a high five. I laughed, shaking my head as I walked towards my apartment.

Curiously, I went to my contacts and looked for his number. It wasn't under his name though, instead it was saved under what I learned to be his nickname: Kookie. I couldn't help but smile at the few cute emoji's he added after it.

I soon received a text message from 'Kookie' that read, 'So when are you free? ;)'
