**Sophia’s POV**

I was sitting up in the top of the tree. A huge, beautiful oak tree. I wasn’t afraid of heights, so I sat there watching the guards fail miserably at climbing the tree from below. I sighed, they were kind of pathetic. I remembered what Demin had told me.

“We have no time to explain. Wait here and whatever you do, don’t move,” he dropped my off on the top of this tree and disappeared. I had been in the middle of a totally wicked battle. I never remembered training for swordsmanship, but it felt like I definitely had. No one got past me, I was way too quick and skilled. I moved so fast,  couldn’t even see the sword. And my hand disappeared at some points. All I remember was slowly loosing sight of my friends. I studied my sword. Well, I certainly hoped they were all okay. They were, right? Of course. I felt like I’d totally missed out. But, hey, I was doing great here.

No matter what you do, don’t move. I narrowed my eyes as his voice echoed through my head.

Why? Why couldn’t I? I should be able to help! If I got in trouble I could be gone in a blink of the eye. I smiled. Yes! I could go! I’d be fine!

I was down and out of the tree so fast, they didn’t even notice I was gone.

“Hey, idiots!!” I called from behind them. They spun around, and looked at me. I crossed my eyes and stuck out my tongue, I was gone before they could do anything else.

I didn’t pay attention to the world spinning around me. I focused on finding Demin and everyone else. When I found that cave again, I spotted guards pilling in. Gun shots were firing off like mad.

“Demin!” I heard Natasha cry, “We need to run!”

“No!” Demin spat, “Not with the chance they find the others!”

So, they did need my help! Well, help had come! I was all in powerful, they could never catch me!

I sliced and hacked so fast, it took minutes and -50 guards to realize they had another enemy.

Guards that hadn’t yet entered the cave, all were looking at the dead guards. They looked purely dumb-founded. I stopped running. There’s eyes looked they were going to pop out of their heads.

“Oh, that’s right!” I smiled a huge, cheesy smile, “I’m too fast for you!!” They jumped at me, but I was already at the entrance, destroying more. They ran that way, I bolted right through the middle, slicing some in half.

“Who’s next?” I was smiling evilly from on top of the waterfall. They gathered together,

“Split up!” I heard one hiss. I rolled my eyes, my legs dangling down the cliff. Splitting up wouldn’t make a difference. But, they did so. When Seth hired his army, he thought of strength not brains. Brains are more important. Charging head first, even with a gun, did nothing against someone who could move at the speed of light.

I froze. Wait a minute… Hadn’t I lost my powers? Wasn’t I supposed to not be able to run, because of that stuff that was on the bomb?

While I was thinking, one guard got to his senses and shot at me. My eyes widened, and a bullet dug into my shoulder. Pain seared through me, making me dizzy. I started to fall, but quickly jolted backwards. I was still fast, I could stand the pain to help Demin and Natasha. I was going to rush to cause more destruction, but I found hands holding my wrists down,

“Not this time you little stinker,”

Crap, I was caught. This is the last thing I expected to happen. Maybe I should’ve listened to Demin after all. I didn’t cry out though, it would make him disappointed. I just hung my head.
