I'm finally free.
I looked back from the hell that I escaped from.
Could I be dreaming?
I couldn't be if my hands were burning from the razor-sharp, barbed wires I had just clawed through.
This must be real as I can feel the air engulfing my lungs and the gentle breeze drifting my chestnut hair from my face. I glanced up, squinting as my eyes adjusted to the beaming sun. What a beautiful sight it was.
This is definitely real.
I crept to a nearby bush and knelt down ignoring the slight pain from my grazed knees and embraced the soft, luscious grass tickling at my feet. The bush irritated my skin as I leaned against it.
I sat here, contemplating what had just happened.
