(c) Light rays from an object falls onto mirror X. These are reflected onto mirror Y. The light is then reflected again and enters the observer's eye (Figure 1.17).

Refraction of light

1 The refraction of light is the bending of light as it passes from one transparent medium to another. This happens when light travels through different media such as air, water and glass.
