"So by next class, you'd better find a partner - and only one partner - because I'm not going to deal with fights like last time" Ms. Jackson said sternly, glaring at a few specific people. Like most teachers, she made it seem like she was addressing the whole class when really, everyone knew exactly who she was talking to. Evidence: several people going red in the face and looking at the ground in unison. Also, it was always the same people whom she was talking about so it didn't come as a surprise.

It was nearing the end of second period and also the end of the school year, so it's hard to blame the class of seventh graders for causing problems. It's also hard to blame the teachers for being extremely impatient, more so than usual.

She looked like she was going to say something else but then the bell rang and everyone was out of there faster than when fall out boy tickets are available for sale - yes, that fast.

Near the back of the literal mob of thirteen year olds, going with the flow, was Ryan Ross. When they did the other two dissections (worm and fish) his partner was always his best friend, Spencer. They were partners for literally everything ever since they met in preschool. The problem was, this time, Spencer just happened to be sick. Although, Ryan was almost positive that he just didn't want to be there for the dissection after he almost threw up over the fish.

He was too busy worrying about not finding a partner in time that he didn't notice he was about to run right into someone until it was too late.

"Oh I'm so sorry..." the guy said blushing while picking kneeling down to pick up his stuff sprawled across the floor. Ryan went down and helped him as it seemed like no one else in the hallway cared as they just made their way around the two. Not a single person even batted an eyelash when they saw who it was.

"It's fine. I should be the one who's sorry. Just really distracted" Ryan smiled. It was obvious that he was used to this. The boy looked up shyly.

"I-if you don't mind me asking, um what were you so distracted about?" At this point they'd finished picking up the rest of Brendon's things and were just continuing their conversation standing up.

"Oh you know... just that I don't have a partner for the frog dissection because my regular partner is a bitch and is sick... Hey wait a minute, aren't you in Ms. Jackson's second period class?" Ryan asked, an idea forming in his head.

"Yeah...I actually am". He shyly muttered, flustered at how straight forward the boy in front of him was.

" I know that was a bit of a wierd question bit I'm not exactly the world's most attentive person", Ryan scratched the back of his head as a response to how awkward that question must've been but he kept going, " Well then why don't we be partners?" Ryan exclaimed but then his excitement was shot down when another possibility struck him "Unless, of course, you already have a partner".

"You're in luck because I happen to be in the same situation as you. I'd be happy to be your partner". They shared a mutual smile but then they were shoved back into reality when the bell that signaled the start of third period rang.

"Shoot! So, I'll so you tomorrow!" Ryan yelled behind him as he scrambled up and practically sprinted to his next class. It was only until he got there that he realized he never asked for the boy's name.

"So I'm gone for a day and you already find a replacement for me?" Spencer teased as he sat up from his spot on the couch. While Ryan had been at school all day, he had been laying on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, playing video games.

"Yes and you have no one to blame but your own wimpy ass". Ryan said as he plopped a pile of papers down on the coffee table in front of them.

Spencer's eyes widened 'til they were the size of the moon. "Kindly elaborate on exactly what thE HELL THIS IS" He yelled as Ryan was on the floor laughing.
