The demons

We all have our demons

But mine are stronger

Cause I can't explain

The cuts on my arms

The scars on my fingers

The blood in the sheets and the pain that keeps-

Coming back- regardless of remedies

Hallucinations, Desires and Insanities

My demons they are named

And they have more fame

That a tarnished reputation can ever have

For mirrors though cracked
Can still let you see your reflection

And silence is louder

Than sirens and gunpowder.

But my blood is poison

And I'm the only one drinking it

And my demons are in control

And their sovereignty has taken its toll

For my skin is no longer my skin

And my heart is no longer light

For everything inside out has been changed and replaced
With things that are not bright

And the only thing left
Is the darkness that crept

Through me since birth
And the thing that took over first.

The demons..
