Fifty Days

DAY 7

One of the traits that you won't admire on Ishtar is her kindness. Too much kindness. Too kind, to the extent that she's not capable of rejecting anyone's request or favor.

Pauwi na sana si Ishtar, nakasukbit na rin ang backpack sa balikat niya pero tinawag siya ng ka-grupo nito sa Filipino project nila.

"Ganito ah, guys, may plano na ako at no need na gumawa tayo lahat." Said the girl, leader in their group project.

"Ge na, sabihin mo na para makauwi na," Naiinip na sabi ng lalaking kaklase nila.

The group leader girl turned to look at Ishtar. "Ishtar, ikaw magtatype ha."

Ishtar's forehead creased while aiming her index finger at herself. "Ha? Bakit ako?"

"Naku, kaya mo na yan. Ikaw lang naman magtatype." Said the boy standing beside her.

"Hep, basta ikaw Ishtar. Ikaw na rin mag-e-edit. Blogger ka di ba? So kaya mo na yan." Sabi ulit ng group leader nila na may kasama pang thumbs up.

Pati pagiging blogger ko dinadamay? Ugh. Ishtar's thought.

"Sige, Oo na." Ishtar answered. Napilitan.

"Ano ka ba Ishtar, ako gagawa ng story. Ikaw lang mag-e-edit. Send ko na lang sa'yo mamayang gabi via facebook." The group leader added.

Napangiwi na lang si Ishtar. She didn't have the guts to protest. She's one of the students that have low self esteem.

"Oh yung ibang walang gagawin. Contribute kayo ng ten pesos. Akin na, pampaprint at pambili ng folder..." Sumagot naman yung apat na walang gagawin, "Oh,", "Yung sukli ko,", "Basta isama niyo ako ha.", "Ito na oh."

Pagkatapos, binigay ng group leader nila kay Ishtar ang nacontribute para sa expenses.

She looked at the money on her palm.

40 pesos.

She remained standing while her groupmates walk by pass her.

She was about to walk through the hallway when Sheen and Lena called her.

"Tala!"

She just continue to walk through the hallway like she didn't hear her name.

But knowing Sheen and Lena, they chased Ishtar again. Well, this always happens.

"Grabe ka, Tala ha." Sheen said.

"Lagi mo na lang ba kami tatakbuhan?" Lena asked.

Ishtar suddenly stopped from walking and turns her head to the two. "Correction: Hindi ako tumakbo."

"Grabe ka talaga, Tala. Eh anong tawag mo 'dun? Hinahabol ka namin, wala kasing ibang term kaya it turns out na parang tumatakbo ka nga." Sheen replied and explained.

"Ewan ko talaga sa inyo, ganito naman lagi a." Ishtar replied with a bored tone.

Lena suddenly stopped, she turned to look at Ishtar then held her on the shoulders. "Teka nga, bakit ka ba busangot ngayon?"

"Bored lang."

"Teka nga lang, hulaan ko." Lena said and acted like she was thinking.

"Siguro, natalo kayo sa war niyo sa WOW ano?"

Ishter shook her head.

"Aha! I knew na, ikaw na naman gagawa ng group project niyo sa Filipino ano? Don't deny na, Tala. I know you too well." Sheen said while her hands on waist.
