I lay here on a cot, a lockpick in hand, and my other hand rubbing along the elk fur lining the cot. This was my life now, I was to rot in this prison for killing a farmer. Which needless to say, he deserved it, but also because it was my contract to. Now I sit here in silence with the body of a dead stranger to keep me company.
I look at the grate beside the man. To the right of it I see a mark etched into the wall, and decide to inspect it. It was a shadowmark the only reason I knew about the little mark was because a close friend in the brotherhood was apart of the infamous thieves guild.
Maybe when I get out of here I could join up with them, sneak out of the city, steal a horse, and be on my way to Riften. However, right now i'm trying to pick a lock, on a rusty grate, that smells of sewer, and skeever.
The grate swings open and I smirk "I'm halfway out of this hell hole" I mumble.
I drop down landing in the nasty sewer water. The stench was terrible, and I would be stuck with the stench for awhile due to me wearing ragged strips of cloth. I continue walking down the tunnel. "How is this place even still lit." I ask myself looking at the torches.
I turn to see stairs leading up to a second story of the sewer which surprises me because it's just a sewer. I climb the grimy stairs to see a small hole with bars. "How convienent my stuff is right there in a chest." I try picking the lock, and hear a little click. "Praise Sithis" I whisper.
I grab my belongings, putting on my ancient shrouded armor, and strapping on the sheathes of my daggers, holding both in a readied position. "Mehrune's Razor, its good to see you again" I whisper looking at the shining blade. I begin to sneak around the second level of the sewer, and I end up finding a drop down leading to a ladder. It was Obviously the way out, and probably led to the little guard hang out which meant I'm going to have to take them out or sneak past.
I climb the ladder, open the hatch, and get into a sneaking position. I take out my ebony bow, and take a second before I release the arrow sending it into the guards back. The guard sitting at the table got up to look at him, and started walking torwards me so I quickly shot him, took his key, and ran out the door. I had to get out of Whiterun fast, and never come back.
