He realizes this he never realized about himself and maybe even his true sexuality.
ALEC LIGHTWOOD has always been grumpy, repressed and never his true self. It isn't until he meets Stiles does he start to become more like him.
SO when the two are introduced, even if it was an accident due to a text sent to the wrong person, everything changes for the two.
