Grace pushed her food around her plate staring down at it. Connie continued to talk lifting her eyes to Grace noticing the unhappy look on her daughters face.

"Gracie, why don't you put that in the kitchen and get yourself something else?" Connie forced a smile towards her daughter who left the table quietly. "Sorry, where were we-" "Colours-" "Right..." Although Connie was paying attention to what was being said she couldn't help but focus on Grace's strange behaviour.

Scattered across the table were various pieces of paper and brochures with everything from dresses to venues in them. Connie had entailed the help of a wedding planner due to being 6 months pregnant and working herself not leaving the time to do this alone.

However so far she had come to no decisions and this woman was causing Connie more problems than she was solving. Connie sighed resting her head on her hand as she continued talking.

Grace slowly wandered back into the room sitting down at the table pulling her legs up. She began playing music quietly on her tablet while looking through pictures which Connie couldn't quite see.

A sigh escaped the other woman's lips before she continued talking to Connie. She was looking at a picture of an old styled church which she turned to Grace. "What do you think sweetheart?" "Umm it's not exactly glamorous is it Mum?"

"It's not supposed to be glamorous, your mother's going for a traditional look-" "Well I still think it looks horrible." Connie bit her lip placing the book back down as Grace's eyes fell to her tablet again. This process continued for another hour when Connie was flicking through dresses. "Now this, this would be brilliant for what you want."

Connie took one look and knew exactly what she needed to do. "Grace?" Her eyes went wide seeing the dress before she spoke. "Looks someone died in it-" Connie laughed before stopping herself. "With all due respect I don't think you're experienced in these sort of things. Why don't you take your games upstairs and play with some dolls or something."

Grace glared over at her. "You clearly need your eyes checking because 1, that church was horrendous, 2 the dress couldn't have been worse for my Mum and 3 I'm too old to play with toys. You're either blind or stupid-" "I'm sorry?" "Apology excepted but you're rubbish at your job."

Connie watched slightly taken back at how Grace had responded. "I'm going to go upstairs Mum..." Connie sighed shaking her head. "Finally-" "No you're not Grace-" "Let her go, we have more important things to discuss than her bratty attitude."

Connie's head snapped back from Grace and around to the woman sitting opposite her. Grace turned around, a smile widening on her face knowing what was coming.

"Woah... Okay my daughters attitude has nothing to do with you and nobody calls her a brat except me. As for all your suggestions so far, this is what I think of them." Connie tore the piece of paper before throwing it down to the table. "Think it's best if you leave now."

Connie gathered up several books pushing them into the other woman's chest. "We won't bother with another appointment, I think we both know this is done." Connie threw the front door shut behind her letting out a huff while rubbing a hand across her forehead.

Connie wandered back into the living room to see Grace sitting at the table flicking through something. She walked straight past and into the kitchen getting herself a glass of water. A headache was beginning to form as she rest against the side.

Moving from the kitchen she wandered through to the living room and let herself fall down to the sofa. She pulled out her phone and began to write a text before putting it down again.
