Chapter 7

I was looking for souvenir shirts when Niall popped out of nowhere.

"Look Sam! I got one for you too!"

He looks so adorable in this monkey hat thing with the monkey legs hanging from his ears to his shoulders!

"Really cute Niall! What did you get for me?"

"I think it's an elephant but it also looks like a hippo! Not sure but it's still cute though! Come here and wear it!"

"I love it, Niall. Thanks!" As he puts the hat on my head. Sweet.

We strolled around the zoo with our hats on. We talked a lot. Found some food to eat and took a lot of pictures around non-meat-eating animals. I’m telling you, everything that is happening today is everything I was dreaming of before. I’d read imagines from fan pages I followed, I read fan fictions in Wattpad, and I’d stay up all night imagining how I want to spend time with One Direction. I had it all planned. But everything I FEEL about today is just something I don’t understand.

"I bet we have as much pictures as Hazz does!" Niall said happily.

I just smiled back at him because I still couldn't beleve that I'm hanging out with the Niall Horan.

I couldn't deny to myself that I'm having fun. And I'm sharing it with Niall. I want to pull back a little because I'm here for work and I don't wanna end up a broken hearted fan girl. But there's only too much I can handle and one crazy monkey wouldn't let go of us.

Right now, I'm having a panic attack inside me but I will try my hardest to put this moment into words.

This monkey looks really cute that's why Niall insisted on holding it. It’s trained so it is not harmful and Niall really wanted to be pictured with it so he handed his iPhone to the caretaker and he pulled me beside him.

But WTF?!

This stubborn monkey is grabbing me by my neck and pulling me towards Niall! You would imagine this to be a beautiful moment but I'm telling you, this monkey is grabbing my neck too tight, I think it's trying to suck out the life in me!

Niall had to pull me closer to him so the monkey would loosen up. But, yeah, we ended up in an almost hugging position with a monkey between us! People around us are teasing and I feel really embarrassed about it. Niall and I felt a little awkward but we just looked at each other and smiled.

Thank the Fates, my phone started ringing!

"Yes Kim?" I answered as the caretaker removed the monkey between us. If this is not a dream, I think I saw Niall smirk!

"Sam! Where are you? I think the boys are hungry!"

"Really? Then I guess we should go. I'm with the hungriest one!" I said. Niall is looking at me smiling but with curiosity. "Alright Kim. We’ll be there in a few!"

"C'mon Niall. The boys are hungry! We should head back to the house."

"Let's go! I'm a little hungry too!" Niall said, then grabbed my hand and then ran.

I'm not much of a runner. But I loved every moment of it. The entire time, I was just looking at our hands thinking I could run all day as long as he holds my hand like this.

....

We came back to the house, and we could smell the food from outside! The boys requested for the typical Filipino food, that's why it smelled like home for me, which made me even hungrier. Ugh.

We just hurried inside, took our seats and just started eating. I bet every one is really hungry because nobody spoke a word. Every one just started eating.

But Niall had the urge to break the silence.

"Wow! This is different but very delicious! Thanks Chef!" Niall said with a mouthful.

"But Niall, you find everything you eat delicious! Ha!" Zayn said, and now everybodys laughing!

"So how were the crocodiles boys?" Chef Randy asked.

"They are all so huge and scary Chef! Niall and Sam had to leave cuz they're too chicken to get close to them!" Harry said, half laughing.

"We're not chicken, Hazz! They just started to bore us! So we went shopping instead!" I tried defending myself. But wait, did I just call him Hazz? I hope nobody noticed.

"We took a lot of pictures too! I might post some in Twitter when we get back to Manila!" Liam said cheerily. And yeah, nobody noticed I called Harry “Hazz.”

"Want to see 'em Chef? The crocs are dope!" Liam offered his phone.

Suddenly, everyone was exchanging their phones and I just kept on eating. But then I noticed Louis grabbing Niall's iPhone.

"Adorable hats Niall! Too bad we weren't able to drop by the souuvenir shop! I bet El would love these hats too!"

They continued showing photos to each other and every one was amazed with Harry's pictures with the big crocodile. Kudos to Harry who achieved to capture the moments he had planned! Ha!

Suddenly….

"Awww! Cute little monkey with his Mommy and Daddy!" Louis said in a teasing tone. Then showed everyone the picture.

I froze…

HOLY MOTHER OF MONKEYS. I totally forgot about that monkey. I totally forgot about the pictures and I was not able to see them yet!

"That is quite a family picture Sam! Too bad I wasn't there to witness this beautiful family moment and to tease!" Louis would not stop teasing. Ugh! What should I do?

"Very funny, Louis! Ha-ha!" I said sarcastically.

Niall's phone was passed from one hand to another and the last to see the picture was me and Niall. In the picture, it was obvious that the monkey was grabbing me tightly but nobody would miss the fact that Niall and I were staring at each other…smiling!

I'm blushing! And there's no way I could stop it so I just said, "The monkey was sucking the life out of me, guys, so Niall had to grab me closely for it to loosen up! Ugh! What the heck, let's just eat can we?" I really hope I'm not blushing right now..

Everybody finally stopped teasing and went back to eating. But they could not stop smiling. And yeah, I caught Niall smiling too!

After that delicious and torturing awkward meal, I went straight to my room to get some rest and redeem myself. But someone's knocking on my door.

"Sam? Can I come in? It's just me!"

Thank the Fates it's only Kim!

"Hey Sam! I bet you need someone to talk to, yes?" Kim said, smiling with a hint of teasing.

"Goodness Kim! That was embarassing! I blushed didn't I?" I said as I drop myself on my bed.

"Yeah, you did. But it's okay sweetie, Niall did too." Kim said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Really? Ugh. But still it's embarassing! I don’t want to look unprofessional! Ugh!" I buried myself on my pillow.

"No Sam! It wouldn't be like that. You were just having fun!" Kim’s really trying hard to comfort me.

"Alright Kim.. Just don't leave me with Niall alone again, okay?"

"You're the boss Sam! Anyways, mom's waiting for my call. I just really had to check on you. So. See you later!"
