Chapter TWO: The Mundane {EDITED}

If you had told alexa she would be shot in the stomach by an arrow by her best friend alec who she was helplessly in love with, she would probably freak out. Because she was indeed shot in the stomach by an arrow but mainly freakout over the fact that it was her best friend who shot her and was probably freaking out as much as she did. Her mother probably was yelling at him right about now or even threatening to kill him, Aleks her brother was probably trying to refrain their mother from doing so that thought made alexa smile. She was in the infirmary watching everyone pass her glancing everyone in awhile. Defying the order her dad gave her by staying in bed alexa walked barefoot to the training room not that far away from the infirmary.

It had been awhile since she had been in an institute other than the one in idris, the new york one was much smaller than idris but it felt nice, alexa ran her hand over blades before going to the arrows that were placed there. She remembered the last time she ever held a bow and arrow which was at the age of five before moving back to idris until now. "Shouldn't you be in bed?" a male voice spoke behind her causing her to jump; groaning at the pain she held her side before responding annoyed " Shouldn't you be gawking at strawberry shortcake?" Jace had looked at alexa annoyed while a light blush swept over his checks " Her name is clary by the way so shut it, C'mon i know you're dying to meet her, i'll even carry you". As he held out his arms alexa jumped into them with a cheeky grin on her face " Take me away oh prince charming!" The blonde laughed commenting on how she watched to much mundane movies before placing her down and walking into the room where the girl was asleep.

Isabelle was sitting at the bed where the girl was awake and looking scared "Oh look sleeping beauty is awake! To bad true love's kiss didn't wake you up". The girl gave a small smile as jace and izzy looked at her weird " Look all i know is some psycho took my mother, and now you people have taken me" Alexa rolled her eyes at the mundane before jace responded laughing " And by taken i assume you mean 'saved your life'" Then alec walked in brooding as usual responding annoyed " A Mundane shouldn't be here" " I actually agree with alec on this one jace, you know the rules" Alexa herself responded as alec looked at her, rolling her eyes she returned the attention to jace himself as he argued with them. " And how do you both know that? The seraph blade lit up when she touched it".

Alexa sighed moving to stand next to alec as jace looked to isabelle for help " Isabelle can you, I'm Jace wayland" The mundane looked even more confused before looking back at jace " I'm uh Clary Fray" Alec looked annoyed as he sighed at alexa "Are we the only one's who find this unusual?" " Guys you always find everything unusual" Jace shot back annoyed himself before alexa spoke for her and alec " Were going to have to report this to the clave" The blonde once sighed looking over to his best friends " You know what could you both dial it down a notch?" "They don't have a notch jace, Love you guys by the way" Izzy responded looking over to alexa winking. Izzy's brother rolled his eyes for a second before continuing to talk " We love you too" Alexa looked over to jace as he stared at them both "Here's a word you guys never hear me say please" Alec argued with jace again before izzy pulled him and herself away. Alec broke away arguing with izzy as alexa rolled her eyes and walked into her room. Alec walked in a second later going to lay on her bed before she could " You know alec you have a room that has a bed really similar to mine so shoo go away" Alec didn't move at all which caused alexa to sigh as she laid next to him " I'm sure there is a good explanation for this all, besides i'm sure this won't come to bite us in the ass" Alec looked at her raising an eyebrow as she rolled her eyes pushing alec to get the covers and covering both of them " Since you're not going to let me sleep alone looks like you're going to have to join me mr. i am going to brood everyday"
