Chapter 28. Moving

Start from the beginning

Gabriel looked excited, almost bouncing on his feet, with a small hint of insecurity in his bright blue eyes; Victor was smiling calmly at her, a hopeful look on his fire eyes. They both really wanted her to like their studio.

She let her smile come out, beaming at them both. "This place is amazing, guys!"

Gabriel's eyes brightened, "Of course it is, Trouble!" he said moving closer to hug her, his arms going around her waist and picking her up. She giggled.

"I was the one who fucking decorated it, after all!" he told her before lowering her back to the floor.

Victor moved in then, pulling her into his arms, letting his fingers run through her ribs. "I am glad you liked it here, Princess. I hope this means you will be willing to spend some time with us here." He said, lowering his face to look in her eyes.

The look of caring and hope in his fire eyes as he stared at her warmed her to her soul. Sometimes she could barely believe these amazing boys liked her so much and wanted to have her around. She was really fortunate.

"I would love to spend more time with you both wherever you two wished." She breathed, her hands resting against his chest as she leaned closer to him.

Suddenly she felt another warm body at her back and hands on her hips, holding her firmly in place as Gabriel leaned down to whisper in her ear, "Don't go giving us ideas, Trouble." He teased, planting a little kiss at the side of her neck. The sensation of his lips at her sensitive skin caused a shudder to run down her spine and her legs to tremble slightly.

She blushed hard, her eyes still locked on Victor's who was beaming down at her, a very pleased expression on his face as his fire eyes heated up to a raging inferno.

She gulped. These boys were far too hot, she only hoped she didn't end up burned.

Gabriel chuckled lightly at her back, his voice sounding husky and low as he lowered his head to plant another kiss at her neck.

This time she gasped at the sensation and Victor's eyes became even hotter, his hands still at her back, holding her close to him as he watched.

She was drowning in his eyes and the sensation they were causing in her when the ringing of a phone suddenly broke the spell.

"Motherfucking shit!" Gabriel snapped, one of his hands leaving her hip to grab the offending device from the back pocket of his pants.

Sang leaned her face against Victor's chest, feeling out of sorts and uncomfortable, wanting. Victor's hands started to move in her back, fingers sliding through her ribs in a soothing motion that calmed her down. She took in a deep breath of his scent, glorifying in being in his arms.

He too seemed happy to be just holding her in that moment.

She knew they had been about to take a step further in their relationship and she was almost sad they had been interrupted. Except she wasn't sure she was ready to take on more than one of them at the same time, thought the prospect excited her.

"...yeah, we know. We will be there shortly." Gabriel was saying in the phone before he hung up.

Sighing he put the phone back on his pocket and turned Sang around by her hips. Looking down at her he saw she was still flushed from their moment, her bright green eyes darkened with desire.

Leaning down he pecked her on the cheek before slapping her butt. She gave a little jump startled. "You need to stop trying to ravish us, Trouble, or we will never manage to move you into Nathan's house." He told her winking.

Victor, behind her back, merely laughed as she shot Gabriel a look promising retribution to which he just smirked at.

Soon they were out of the studio and heading over to Dr. Roberts' house where she would talk with him while the boys helped with her move.

Sean and Owen wouldn't be there as they both had work. Sean would be covering for Dr. Roberts that afternoon in the hospital while the older man stayed with Sang, but after that he'd work less hours in the hospital and take on fewer missions for the academy.

Soon she would be living with one of her boys. Would she finally find her home?

......

The sound of the front door opening and boys' voices along with the softer tones of a young bird alerted Phil to the arrival of his adopted daughter and her... boyfriends.

He really liked the Blackbourne team and had always wished the best for them, but they would better make his little girl happy or he would use everything he'd learned in his years as a doctor to cause irreparable damage.

Sighing he stood up from his chair behind his desk and left his home office to go meet his little bird and her family.

Finding all eight of them in his kitchen Phil stopped by the door to observe them for a little as no one seemed aware yet of his presence.

Sang, Luke and North were removing groceries from their bags, that they had obviously bought before coming over, and preparing to start on something for them all to eat.

Kota, Gabriel and Silas were talking quietly in the corner and Phil heard the mention of the words "mission" and "surveillance". Nathan was sitting at the counter trying to keep out of the way while Victor hovered close to Sang, seeking to help her.

Stepping into the room Phil went over to Sang and greeted her with a quick kiss to the top of her head. She smiled up at him and all the boys gave their greetings.

Phil went to sit at the counter besides Nathan. Leaning closer to the boy so the others in the room, especially Sang, wouldn't hear him, Phil said. "If I ever hear a single complaint about any of you from her, boy, you will learn that even old I still have a perfect grip of my scalpel."

The boy paled and Phil grinned. It had been a while since he'd had such fun. His children were all married already and his grandchildren were too young to be dating yet.

At least he thought they were too young... he frowned.

Note to self, have a very serious talk with the little ones about the appropriated age for dating...

......

Once they had all eaten together at the table outside on Phil's garden Sang organized her boys so they could start on moving her stuff while she spoke with Phil.

Taking a last look around her soon to be old room to make sure everyone was doing what they were supposed to she went in search of Phil, finding him outside, on his deck, staring up at the darkening sky with a frown on his aged face.

"Hey, Doc." She greeted him quietly as she stood by his side.

He looked down at her and his expression softened. "Hello, little bird."

They studied each other for a moment. It was something they had in common, their habit of thinking carefully about what to say and try to guess what the other person was thinking or feeling.

She was the first to break the silence. "I will be moving out Phil, but I will always be around if you need anything. You can always call on me or come visiting."

Smiling down at her, he said. "Same here, little bird. I've come to think of you as my own daughter. You can always count on me, Sang."

Her eyes filled. She'd never had a real father, but she had felt what a child felt for a father with Phil. That surety that you were safe and that everything would always be okay had accompanied her since she came back and met him in his hospital office.

Since then, even while still broken and wounded from her years in hell, she had known that somehow everything would be okay with Phil around.

But her home wasn't living with him.

She smirked. He wouldn't appreciate having a teenager under his roof when he found a new love either.

They needed their own space, but they would be there for one another.

Moving closer to Phil's side Sang put her arm around his back, tucking herself into his side as he put his arm over her shoulders and they stood quietly watching the sky change colors.

The day was coming to an end. Tomorrow would be a new one.
