The bang came as Nolly Gardener screamed.

She saw a figure in the darkness.

It was Floyd.

"Hello, Floyd...Aren't you with Susan?".

And then she saw Floyd's red colored eyes.

He opened his mouth, and bit her in the neck with his sharp fangs.

The item sold at Straker and Barlow's antique shop was the 1935 painting of Hubie Marsten. It was brought by Ben Mears for $100.00.

IV

Richard Straker was away.

He had had a meeting with Kurt Barlow.

And he didn't want to be disturbed while they met in New York.

V

The Doctor, Matthew Burke, saw the guest.

"Mike, what's wrong?".

"I'm sick, Doc! Someone bit me; someone bit me so bad. It hurts like a son o'-a-bitch!". And he fell onto the ground inside the Doctor's red colored carpet...and never recovered.

VI

"Ben, it's Matthew! Yes; yes. It's Mike Ryerson. He's...sick".

"How sick?", he enquired.

"He's dead. I've been reading on the Glick boy. Someone is biting people in Jerusalem's Lot, and 'Salem's Lot".

"I'll come right over. I'll be there in five minutes. 'Bye!".

"'Bye!", and Matthew hung up.

VII

The town of 'Salem's Lot was now in complete darkness.

And then the turning begun.
