Natsu's POV
"Nee-chan! Wake up! You're going to be late for your first class!" Wendy yelled jumping on my bed.
"Give me 5 more minutes Wendy" I groaned, covering my head with my blanket.
Wendy started pulling the blanket off my grip forcing me to get up. *Sigh*
This kid is such a pain. Besides being a pain she's also my younger sister.
She's 12, three years younger than me
"Nee-chan! I'm going to be late! You're supposed to drive me to school! Get up! Get up! Get up!" She managed to pull the blanket of my bed causing her to get thrown on the floor.
"Ouch! Nee-chan, get up already!" She begged
"Fine, I'm up. Wait for me outside." I said
She left my room and waited outside. I dragged myself to the shower and wore my school uniform. I managed to push myself to the kitchen.
"Good morning Natsu!" I turned to see my mother Grandine placing toasted bread on the table.
"Good morning mum. Where's dad?" I asked as I took a peice of bread, munching on it.
"He left for work an hour ago." Mom said
"Alright, I best be on my way. Bye mum." I said
while waving my hand and leaving the kitchen.
I walked up to my car and drove to school.
"Thanks Nee-chan! Sayonara!" She left with our maid to the gradeschool building.
I parked my car and saw Gray. Gray is sort of my best friend despite our fights we seem to understand each other.
"Oi! Flame brain!" He caught up to me.
"Good morning Elsa!" I smiled.
While Gray was talking about something, I noticed a pretty blond walking elegantly.
She was wearing a light pink dress that were inches above her knees and white heels, and her hair was tied up to a pony tail.
Beside her was a blond dude with two other guys wearing black suits.
I'm guessing the men in black were her body guards.
I continued staring at the pretty blond and I felt my cheeks heat up. Damn she's hot.
Suddenly I saw the blond dude glaring at me.
Guessing they're in a relationship with that girl, but he's not much of a competition I guess.
"Hey Natsu! Stop staring at that blond, she's going to be mine" Gray smirked.
"Love Rival!" Juvia popped out of Gray's back. Gray looked startled and I laughed.
"There's no way you're gonna get her. Who is she anyway?" I asked
"Oh, didn't you hear? She's a Heartfilia, daughter of one of the most richest businessmen in Fiore. Guess their starting a business here in Magnolia too" Gray said
"What are you talking about?" Levy said as she walks up to us.
"About blondie over there" Gray said.
"Oh, she's a beauty isn't she? All the guys have been staring at her, and that included both of you" Levy giggles.
"No Gray-sama! Don't fall for her charms!" Says Juvia
"Whatever, lets go before classes start." Gray said.
We made our way to class.
It was convenient to have almost all of my friends as my classmates.
The bell rings and our teacher comes in with the two blonds at her back.
"Good morning class! We have new students here from Fiore, Lucy Heartfilia and Sting Euclife. Let's welcome them" Sensei smiled
"Lucy, why don't you sit beside Natsu on the window side and Sting sit on the chair behind her. Natsu will you raise your hand." She continued
She sat next to me staring out the window with her right hand carrying her chin. She looks bored, I stared.
She's a bueaty but her face is so blank and dull, come to think of it, I haven't even seen her smile, especially when she was introduced to the class.
I'm guessing she was forced to transfer here.
Should I start a conversation with her? Magnolia isn't really a bad place to stay, I'll
make her feel like home. I smiled at my intentions.
She suddenly faced me and words started disappearing in my head. I didn't know what to say but I had try.
I guess she noticed that I was staring at her. She raised an eyebrow.
"Did you want something?" She said with her expressionless face.
"Uhm, no. I was just uhm--" I stuttered
"Well, if you do not need anything, then please
stop looking at me. Its kind of disturbing" She said
"Oh, I'm sorry, I just wanted to start a conversation. You looked kind of sad." I replied
"I'm not, thanks for your concern. I'm Lucy. It's nice to meet you." She said as she offered a handshake
"The name's Natsu, Natsu Dragneel. It's nice to meet you too. I was wondering if you could join me and my friends at the cafeteria later." I smiled.
Her eyes widened, and she suddenly gave a heart warming smile. It was a beautiful smile.
Her cheeks glowed on a light shade of pink. She looked better that way.
"I'd love to, but I have a small request" She asked.
"What's that?" I asked, I couldn't read her. She's unpredictable.
Well, I just met her anyway so it's not a surprise.
"Can I bring my friend Sting?" She asked pointing at a person behind her.
"Sure. W-wait, friend? You two are just friends?" I asked
"Yes, Sting is my childhood friend." She said
Friend? They're just friends! Awesome. Now I have a chance. Get ready Gray, I'm not backing off at this fight. No way in hell.
"Oh, alright then" I smirked
"U-uhm Natsu, I was wondering if you could go with me to the principle's office to get my uniform. I was told that it was left with the principal so he could meet me." She asked
"Sure! Anything for the pretty lady." I winked
The bell rang and our teacher finished writing some requirements.
"Let's go Luce" I smiled
"Luce?" She reacted curiously
"Oh, it's a nickname for ya! If you don't mind though." I smiled.
"Oh that's nice, I don't mind at all" She smiled.
"So let's go!" I cheered.
"Thank you" She said cheerfully
Her cheeks began to glow again and from then and there I promised myself to always make her happy even though we're just friends. Well for now.
I sneaked up a smirk while heading out to the classroom, grabbing her hand.
Wait what? I'm holding her wrist! Neeh! Bet she's fine with it.
Besides I like it this way. Her skin is really soft. Well she's from a rich family, it's not surprising that Lucy's taken good care of herself and mostly taken care of her parents and maids.
I can't help but smile at how innocent she looks.
