Chris.

I woke up by my mum.

"Chris! Hun wake up" she yelled from somewhere in the house. I lazily got up from the floor and placed everything back in it's place. Grace was still sleeping, she looked so relieved and peaceful, I swear a truck could be besides her and it wouldn't wake her up. I smiled at her and continued to make my way outside my room.

"Good Morning, Chris" my mum greeted me as soon as I entered the kitchen. She was making pancakes for what I see.

"Good Morning, mum" I answered back.

"I heard the shower in the midnight..." She suddenly said. Here goes the train of lies... It reminded me of Ethan and how he says this Nation is full of lies.

"Well, I had a nightmare and when I woke up I was all sweaty and I couldn't go back to sleep so I thought maybe it was because I was sweaty so I decided to take a quick shower" I answered and she seemed to buy it.

"Oh, you could've gone and wake me up" she said putting three pancakes into my plate.

"I know but I didn't wanted to bug you" I shrugged "Do you think you can add three more pancakes?" I asked to my mum, her eyes went wide as those words leaved my mouth. She looked at me confused, I don't blame her, I would never eat six pancakes by myself, obviously I asked for three more for Grace.

"Chris are you okay?" She asked leaving the spatula to aside.

"Yes mum, I'm just really hungry" I laughed and she suspiciously nodded.

"Yeah it must be that you're going through puberty and...-"

"Mum!" I exclaimed.

"Oh sorry Hun." She answered.

"I think I'm going to eat them in my room. There's a marathon of Ninja Turtles and I do not want to miss it" yeah sure.

"Oh okay. Well, Here you go my big boy, six pancakes. Don't forget the milk" she said as she gave me the plate of the pancakes. I grabbed a glass of milk and with that started making my way towards my room. As I entered I closed the door behind me.

"Chris! I'm going to the store I'll be back in a while!" My mum yelled and with that she closed the door, I could hear the car start and go away.

I placed the pancakes and the milk at my nightstand, afterwards I made my way outside and went to the kitchen to grab another glass of milk, a fork and a plate for Grace. When I was done, I went back to my room, I opened the door and Grace was already up.

"Good Morning" I said as I entered. I placed the glass of milk in the nightstand as well.

"Good Morning" she smiled back "your bed is so freaking comfy" she continued to say. Jakob and Ethan say that pretty much every time they come over.

"Thanks" I laughed "Here have some pancakes" I said as I placed three pancakes in my plate and gave her the other ones.

"Thank you" she said and grabbed the fork. I would be kidding if I said she ate them slowly because she was shy, in fact, she finished the first pancake before me. You could tell she was hungry, really hungry.

"These are so good" she said before starting to eat the second pancake.

"I forgot to tell you that I also brought milk" I said and she nodded.

"Thank you so much for everything, Chris." She said and gave me a hug. You could tell she meant that.

"So, I know this might be a little difficult for you but could you please explain me what happened after the last time I saw you?" I asked, she nodded and finished the second pancake before she started talking. Just by the look in her eyes you could tell it hurt her whatever went in the few last days.
