Grace

After the tuff night that I passed —were I slept probably like an hour— it was time to go to school. I stood up from my bed before the alarm clock even went off and with that, made all the normal routine. Plus since today is Friday I can wear normal cloth to school. Like I said before, instead of putting a headband I grabbed a beanie and threw it on making my best to find a way to hide the bruise with my hair, finally the luck was in my side, it would've looked awful if I wore a beanie with my uniform. The bags under my eyes were so bad and I had no makeup to cover them up. When I was done brushing my teeth I went downstairs and started walking to school, I didn't bothered to see if there was food because, I knew that the pantry would be empty as well as the fridge.

All the way to the school, I kept my head down and hid my face with my hair, or well tried my best to. When I arrived I took a quick glance up and then looked back down again. I could feel people staring at me but I ignored it and continued my way to my locker and grabbed the books for literature class.

Today I was extra early, the first one to arrive, and whilst the class started I wrote in the back of my notebook just little thoughts that came to my head, but one thing kept me anxious. Chris. I want to see him, and no, not because I love him or something like that. It's just that I want to make sure he's okay because that nightmare just let me bad. Making sure no one was staring at me I looked up from my notebook and noticed there was some other classmates sitting. Yay I'm not alone anymore. Notice my sarcasm?

After a while the bell FINALLY rang and everyone rushed in. The only ones missing were Chris, Jakob and Ethan.

"Well class today we are going to read Shakespeare" Mr.Tyron spoke. Oh god this is going to make me fall asleep more than I already want.

"Excuse me Mr.Tyron can We enter please" that made me look back up covering the bruise with my hair to see three smiling guys in the door. You guess who they are.

"Mr.Lanzon, Mr.Karpathy and Mr.Delgado may I know your excuse of why you're late?" Mr.Tyron asked politely not mad at all.

"Well we were walking to school and a fan came to us and we took pictures and talked to her and before we knew we were late" said Jakob. How cute. All the girls made the 'aww' sound again. I swear they will make that sound even if they fart or sneeze.

"Okay I'm just gonna let it go but next time you're late it's detention. Now come in we were about to read some Shakespeare" and with that they all rushed to their seats followed by the typical stares of almost everyone. I looked down and this time I, actually made extra effort to hide the bruise since it's in the left side of my face and Chris sits in my left side.

I let out a sigh in relief that I didn't even knew I was holding and just continued to write and draw at the back of my notebook. My eyes are getting heavy but I can't fall asleep that would be so disrespectful of my part, So I decided to drink some water, maybe that will keep me up. Cautiously I grabbed my water bottle making sure to not show any bruise and drank about half of it.

"Wow you really were thirsty, weren't you?" Chris whispered and I giggled.

"More like sleepy" I said looking down.

"I texted you yesterday all the day and you never answered" he said, You could hear a hint of disappointment in his voice maybe?

"My phone died and I didn't found the charger" I said. It feels so bad lying to him, but it will be worse if I tell the truth.

"Oh okay" he said, I could see that he was staring at my side and then turned around to sit correctly but then again something caught his eye and he didn't, instead he turned to look at me.
