When reality collides

"What the what?!"

The clock buzzed an annoying beat. Gumball slumped over and rolled off the bed landing hardly on the ground.

"Ow!" Shouted Gumball.

"Then maybe you should have been more careful, but still you ok?"

"Yeah I'm good dude, thanks for asking.(no sarcasm intended)

"Cool, let's go down and eat some breakfast!"

So the two set foot down the stairs and got to the kitchen a couple seconds later. There sat their mother, father, and annoying sister which wouldn't keep her mouth-trap closed most of the time.

"Morning guys", the rest of the family said.

"Morning everyone, they said in an excited voice.

Gumball went to go take a shower after he was done eating. He turned the faucet to the right making the water warm. While rinsing his hair, he could feel a sense that something bad would happen. He just didn't know what.

He shook off the feeling and quickly flung his backpack over his shoulder and approached the bus. The two climbed the steps and sat in their usual seats in the far back.

He passed his girlfriend, whom name is penny. He loved her so much. Ever since he became his girlfriend, he stood by her whenever she was in danger or in need of a helping hand at least.

He saw Tobias and banana joe talking together laughing and smiling.

They glanced his way making an even wider smile when he saw me and Darwin come sit on the opposite side of them.

"Hey guys, what's up?" Tobias sounded really excited for some reason today.

He decided to just play along with it.
Him and Darwin both said "hello!"

They then discussed about cool stuff like how they're sports are doing, when they want to play, and all sorts of cool things.

He decided to finally ask "why are we so excited anyway?"

"Darwin also added " yeah, I feel like since it's a Monday, we shouldn't really be that happy."

Both banana joe and Tobias were both shocked to see that Gumball and Darwin don't know "the news."

Tobias said," don't you know? We're going on a field trip in an actual airplane! I think it's the first time the governments allowing it? Ya know, the whole "flying thing."

Both him and Darwin both got scared. Not only the fact that they were going miles in the air, but also the fact that, well? How do I say this? Gumballs grandparents on his mothers side kind of "died" on an airplane?

"What's wrong guys?"

They announced all the info they just remembered and in great detail too.
"Ohhhhh, so that's why you're scared right now? Don't worry guys! We'll be their all through the flight for you guys!"

"Yeah!" Agreed banana joe.

Gumball and Darwin felt a little less tense and nervous but they still worried about what might happen.

So they got to school and climbed the stairs. They shoved open the doors wrong as most people were already here.

"Oh shoot! Look at the time!"
