Chapter 2

Not wanting to make a big deal out of the first day, I was staring at my clothes stressing. I didn't want to seem like I was trying too hard or already comfortable with them either. The sun was still out, but picked up a little breeze as well. So I wore my smoke gray long sleeve dress, red vintage shall and my black double strapped Aldo sandals. Fluffing my curls a little once more, there was a knock on the door. Clementine had been left the room. So that must've been Roman coming to get me. I rubbed my lips together as they were coated in some Candie's cotton candy lip gloss, I rubbed my hand over my gold chocker before grabbing my smoke gray Tory Burch hand bag then walking out of the bathroom. Quickly grabbing my phone and key, I opened the door for Roman. "Good morning!" I smiled making him frown. "I'm guessing you didn't fall asleep on time?" I raised my eye brow as I closed and locked the door. "Not even close, but your ass always been geeked about the first day of school." Roman groaned. Ro looked so cute in his all denim outfit and his high top all white Pro Adidas. His hair was a little curly from him using his favorite Johnson Johnson detangler hair spray, his gold chain was tucked in that matched his gold Rolex. "That's correct and where's Kai?" I asked rubbing my hands together as we walked over to the elevator. "Sleep. He doesn't have his first class until one!" Roman complained getting upset all over again. I laughed and shook my head. Roman let that boy keep him up knowing that he had to be up early. "I don't even know why did you let that boy keep you up." I laughed as we walked onto the elevator. "That nigga wouldn't shut up talking to one of these girls he just met on campus." Roman said shaking his head. I laughed and shook my head again. Girls adore goofy guys, which Kaiden is. "I'm surprised girls haven't flocked your way." I smirked before taking a picture of myself from Snapchat. "They did but I'll deal with that later." Roman quickly brushed it off. I laughed then nodded my head; I knew he was serious though. Which was understanding. "No niggas better have came your way.... Have they?" Roman looked over at me as we walked out of the elevator then out of the building. "I wouldn't consider it coming my way, but I guess he could be my associate." I shrugged nonchalantly. And Roman raised his eye brow up at me, I guess that was the 'continue talking' stare. "He's friends with Clementine." I spoke innocently. "Oh yeah? Her little cute ass." Roman smirked. I knew it was coming sooner or later. "Ro you feeling my roomie?! Already?" I frowned. When Roman sweat girls, they immediately drop their draws for him. But being that he don't like easy girls, that just causes problems for me. They always accuse me of wanting him or I'm cock blocking for them. Not saying that Clementine is easy, but I would prefer them two to just stay away from each other. To be on the safer side. "Nah she is cute though and I like that you fuck with her." He shrugged. That's how he gets them too, using me as a excuse. "Mhm just find somebody else." I said shrugging. And we started laughing. "I don't want your roomie stingy." Roman smirked. And I stopped in my tracks while mugging him. "You better not or I'll tell her that you still pee in the bed". Roman and I started laughing uncontrollably. "Yo you really play too much, but I'll leave home girl alone." Roman chuckled as we watched the cheerleaders walk across the field. "Yes grab each and everyone of them up." I joked and we laughed again. Walking up to the second building, I hugged Roman. My first class of the day and week was Biology, which is two hours long. Lord please wish me luck. "Thanks for walking me to class and um I might stop by your house today, cause Clementine is going to be at work today." I frowned a little. Speaking of a job, after I get used to my schedule I'll began to look for a job as well. "Oh aight just slide through then." Roman shrugged. "Okay enjoy your first day." I smiled. "Later Kay and enjoy your day too." Roman smiled before walking away.

"Yes!" I cheered leaving my last class for the day, tomorrow will go much easier. Today wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, especially being that I was stuck in the same seat for a hour or so. "Hey sweet stuff." Kaiden joked pulling up in the car. I started laughing and rushed over to the other side then climbed in. "Hi Kai, how was your first day?" I smiled as we hugged. "Cool, listen to this though I'm going to need you to never bat your eyes at a nigga like me ever again." Kaiden said shaking his head. "Wait what you mean?" I furrowed my eye brows at him. I've never flirted with Kaiden ever in my life that I knew him. "These girls Kay, these girls man. And they're not making it no better by throwing themselves at me." Kaiden sighed. "You better slow down then before you catch something." I smirked then started laughing. He always been so damn fresh ! "I will, I promised myself to stay focused." He chuckled before wiping away a fake stray tear. "You better or Ro is going to get you." I said unlocking my phone as we drove off. "Yeah he's already acting like my parent." Kaiden chuckled. I smiled while shaking my head, typical best friend. Making it to their condo under fifteen minutes, we both got out of the car and went straight up to the house. "Ro?!" I called out for my best friend, but no responses came back. "He just texted me saying he's leaving class now, but I'll be in my room if you need anything." Kaiden said dropping his book bag. "Damn! I can't get no tour of the house?" I asked with my hand on my hip. Kaiden stopped in his tracks then looked back at me. "Girl you can't get lost its just an apartment." He chuckled then went inside of his room. I sucked my teeth as I placed my bag down by the couch and took off my shall since it was hot in here. The living room was really nice looking fresh out of a magazine. They had a plush black rug covering the floor to match the black coffee table and black lamp. As the red leather three piece set couches matched with the red silk long curtains and the stripe red and black candle holder hanging over the longest couch. Leaving the living room, I slowly made my way all over the house and even into Roman's clean empty room. He's always been a neat freak which I loved because boys really don't care for a mess or two. But Roman would lose his mind coming home to a dirty house. Roman's room was all blue from the rug to the closet; everything blue. All different types of blue too which made it look interesting. "Bye nosey." Roman spoke making me jump. "How was your first day back? And how did you get home so fast." I faked a smiled. My heart was still thumping like crazy. "Its only a block away and why you being nosey?" He asked untying his royal blue high top Air Force One's. "Cause Kaiden left me all alone and you wasn't here to show me around the house. Which I can say is real cute and neat; just how you like it." I giggled and leaned against the dresser. That's another thing, Roman hates outside clothes on his bed. "Good looking. How was your first day? Mine was aight. These girls are trying to be my down fall though" He chuckled dryly then shook his head. "How? And it was nice for the first day." I shrugged while he nodded his head. "Since a nigga is like 6'4 they think I'm here for sports again." He said and changed into his tank top then basketball shorts. I laughed and shook my head. "Nobody expects a boy like you to be a nurse." I giggled. Everyone always told Roman that he's wasting his height being that he wants to be a pediatric nurse, but Roman never really made basketball nor football one of his favorite hobbies. He was more into helping people out or helping the little kids in the park; being that he was the only kid. "We out to the living room and I know that shit is about to be D.E.M.S all over again." He shook his head as we made it back to the living room. "Yeah, but if anything just ignore them." I shrugged and sat down on the couch. "I will." He chuckled turning the TV on and a girl was busting it open all in the camera view. "Yo Kaiden what the fuck man?!" Roman complained making me laugh uncontrollably. "You're so nasty!" I giggled while trying to control my laughter. A few seconds later you could hear Kaiden's door unlocking and being snatched open. "What?" He asked rushing into the living room. "What did I do?" He smirked staring at the TV. "You little nasty!" I laughed as he leaned against the wall. "Nigga what if I had a bitch here?" Roman looked back at Kaiden. "Nigga then you would've thanked me cause that would've helped her ass know what time it was." He spoke with the same smirk. "Boy bye!!" I laughed at him. Kaiden was too much and always spoke his mind no matter who you were. "How was school though cry baby? I heard you crying in the morning." Kaiden chuckled making his way to the love seat in the corner. "Nigga fuck you." Roman mumbled. "What did I do?" Kaiden asked making me laugh at him. I remember Roman complaining about how Kaiden kept him up all night, so I laughed with them. "You know something I don't Kay?" Kaiden asked with a cocked eye brow. "You being rude messing with Roman's sleep." I giggled as my phone began to buzz. It was Brandon calling me, so I slid over 'answer'.
