P.S. This is for my friend katie from school.

===================================

It was exactly seven o'clock in the evening. I left my room to open up the common room entrance for my boyfriend Draco. As he saw me through the opening door, he smiled at me brightly.
"Hey Katie", he said in relief. "I'm glad to see you."
I stretched my hand out to him and he grabbed it. "Come on in, Draco. Welcome to Hufflepuff."
There was barely someone in the common room tonight. But the few people who were there didn't notice a Slytherin entering, just one first year boy waved friendly at both of us when we passed him.
At the door to my dorm I stopped and faced Draco. "I'm sorry it's probably really messy in there, my roommates-"
He stopped me by placing a finger on my lips. "I don't care. I'm just happy we found a place to meet up."
I frowned. It was really hard to be Draco's girlfriend. We agreed that we kept it a secret to the Slytherins and we told only my closest friends. It was logical everyone would make fun of us and that would only put a strain on our relationship. We knew we were happier just the two of us.
I quickly opened the door and went inside. I didn't want to think about our problems now that we could finally have some time for us.

Draco followed me and we sat on my bed. He took my hand immediately when I sat down.
"I know it's hard for you, Katie. It's hard for me too. Sometimes I think it was maybe better when everyone knew."
I shook my head.
"But we couldn't have dates in public even if everybody in this school knows. They would not leave us alone."
"Probably", I said. "I wish I was a more suitable girlfriend for you."
He lifted my chin with his hand and kissed me softly. "There's no one who suits me better."
I smiled and kissed him back. He leaned back on the wall.
"You've changed, Draco Malfoy. I hope your friends do change one day, too."
"I don't think they're my friends anymore. I don't talk to them. I only see you after classes."
I crawled onto his lap and he put his arms around me.
"But you need to get along with your classmates, or your live will turn into hell."
He chuckled sarcastically. "I'd deserve that."
I slapped him playfully. "You don't."
He smirked.
"You're too good for me. I love you."

One Week Later

"You're gonna see Draco's room tonight. That's so exciting", my friends exclaimed in the middle of a class.
"Be quiet", I hissed. She giggled and turned away from me.
After class I saw some of my classmates chatting and pointing at me. But I didn't think anything by it, that happened from time to time, like in every school.
I went to the library with some friends. We studied together, when suddenly a young Hufflepuff boy came running towards us.
"I have a message for you", he said exhausted, "from Draco Malfoy."
I thanked him and read it. It only said: "Someone found out. Be careful."
"We should take you back to our house", my best friend said worried.
So we all hurried back to my dorm to think about the situation. We didn't know where Draco was and waited for something to happen, but nothing happened.
When we got up to get something for dinner, I felt a bit nervous, as I didn't knew what Draco's message exactly meant and what the consequences were. When I appeared in the Great Hall I already felt how people were eyeing me and pointing at me. Then some not so quiet chattering began and I knew that "someone found out" meant exactly the same thing as "everybody knows".
I ignored every comment I heard and also a piece of salad that was flying in my direction. But people didn't dare to do something worse, as the hall was full of teachers.
My friends were there to support me and I was very thankful for that.
"Draco isn't here. Do you think he's too ashamed to show up?", I wondered. But then I heard loud laughter from the Slytherin table and someone talking about Draco being in the hospital wing.

I immediately run off to see Draco.
"Katie? I'm do glad to see you", he exclaimed when he saw me. "Are you alright?"
I had to laugh. "I'm alright. But what about you? You're the one lying in the hospital."
"I got cursed today after class. I don't evem know who it was or how I got here. But I should be fine by tomorrow morning."
He grabbed my hand and dragged me closer towards him to kiss my cheek.
"Katie, this changes nothing between us. I still love you and want to be your boyfriend."
I sat down on his bed. "I feel the same for you."
He laughed.
"At least the year is almost over. We can spend a great summer together and in September we wont care anymore what anyone else thinks about us."
"Hopefully", I said and kissed his forehead. "But I'll let you sleep and recover now."
"Good night, Katie, and thank you."

The next morning I got up really early to get my breakfast before everyone else. But I got held up everywhere by people in the corridors and arrived very late after all. I directed myself towards my usual place without looking anyone in the eyes. But people where still mocking me and making stupid comments. At least I could count on the Hufflepuffs to support me.
At first I didn't notice, but after awhile everyone got quiet amd the Slytherins started to sing a mean song. I looked up and saw that Draco had come in. He stood in the entrance unsure what to do. Tough I was happy to see that he had healed, he seemed very unhappy. But then he took a few steps and every pair of eyes followed him as he came over to me.
"Is this place taken?", he said smirking and pointing at the gap between me and another Hufflepuff.
I smiled. "You can sit with us."
Under loud protests of the Slytherins he sat down at our table and that's what he did for the rest of the year.
