"Tania, emergency!" I filled her in and she immediately gave me quite good advice.

"Ok Sarah, just stay calm and if he asks you if you love him, well, tell him exactly how your heart feels. Just don't be too harsh. Good luck, chicko."

I looked at my watch. 4.40pm. Damn. I quickly changed into some casual T-shirts and ran right down to Retro Street Cafe, which was a few junctions away. I spotted Scott as soon as I barged into the small cafe. He gave me a stunning smile and I went to sit across him.

  "Hey Sarah," he said.

"Hi," was all I said. I couldn't bear to look into his eyes, which were a shiny blue.

"What's wrong?" he asked, and I felt his gaze rake over me.

"Scott... I'll have to come right to the point. You asked me here to talke about the kiss right? About... us?"

"Yeah, I guess," Scott shifted uncomfortably. "I have no idea how to say this, Sarah, I've never had a... you know, girlfriend before."

"That's okay." I have been with a few guys, of course, but those lasted for a short while. "What did you want to ask me?"

"Sarah..." he began, keeping his head dipped, then looking up into my eyes, green against black. "Do you love me?"

I felt lost. Suddenly I didn't know what to say. Did I? Or was it just a harmless crush? Love is a very strong word, just like hate. I'm sure I liked Scott, but did I love him?

"Sarah, it's okay. I don't want to force you. I'll give you time to think, just like I need to. Tomorrow?"

"Yeah," I said, and suddenly I felt so tired, I could barely stand. Scott grabbed my arms to steady me, and spine shot straight at his touch. "Thanks."

I quickly ran off. Damn it's raining, I thought as my shoes pounded on the slick pavement. Suddenly my shoe slipped on the slippery surface and I plummeted to the ground, face first. I saw a flash of black beside me.

"God, Sarah, be more careful, won't you?" Adam's familiar voice said. He was gripping me tightly. His car was stopped just beside the pavement, and I guess he had been in time to catch me before I broke my nose. "Why are you running in this freaking weather?"

He turned me around to face him. His intensity of his gaze bothered me a little, but all I could was... well, look.

"Well?" He gave me a gentle shake, and I woke up.

"Huh?" I said, still a little oblivious. "Oh, um, well, the Scott thing."

"Oh yeah!" he said, and did a facepalm. "I totally forgot. Luckily I was coming this way to my grandma's house, or... well, there won't be a pretty Sarah tomorrow, will there?" He smirked slightly, making me groan.

"How can you still joke at a time like this?!" I cried.

"Typical Sarah, all serious huh?" he nudged me. "Do you want me to fetch you home? Well I guess I should, you look like you might fall again along the way."

Without waiting for my response, to my annoyance, he was just like Tania, cutting me off and 'stuffing' me in the passenger seat. I just relaxed in the car. It was definitely better than the cold outside. He drove a Mercedes?! Woah...

I can only afford a Honda, and well, Honda's okay but... comparing Mercedes and Honda? Hah.

"Okay, see you in school, don't tell me you're gonna slip on your doorstep." He said as we arrived directly in front of the door.

"Bye, and thanks for saving my nose." I winked and went in. And knocked straight into my mother, who was obviously eavesdropping. "Mom! Why were you listening? Invader of privacy."

"Sweetie, who was that boy just now?" she chattered eagerly. "He looks hot, maybe you should have a go. Especially with those golden curls that were... given by me!" Jeez, my mum was so dramatic.

"Mom, he's just a friend." I said in a very flat tone. "Don't get the wrong idea please."

"Okay, whatever you say!" she said happily and bounced off to the kitchen to prepare dinner. My mum was dramatic, but she was cute too.

I went up to my bedroom and laid on the bed, looking up at the glittery glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling. What should I do? What should I tell Scott? I grumbled frustratedly under my breath and tried to think of an idea...

Suddenly, a very bright torch went on in my head. DING! I got it! Just need the right people...
