"Oh sweet sassy molassy you're hot"

Now yes I know out of endless screw ups that could have come out of my mouth, my mouth decided to release that garbage,

He inhaled in shock as his eyes held mine, I would of too if I hadn't been too scared to breath, but I could see no emotion in their depths just the never-ending green of his eyes,

Then then to my amazement he laughed and I don't mean, chuckling or polite laughter but full on bowled over laughter, I started laughing too but mine had a trace of nervousness in it,

Once we could both breath again he was grinning at me so I stuck out my hand,

"Rowena Hawthorne nice to meet you Mr De Luca, sorry for that by the way" I said bashfully,

"It's quite alright Miss Hawthorne you have certainly made an impression" he chuckled.

Watching Mr De Luca curiously as he worked, many questions ran through my head,

How was it possible someone so young was in charge of a company that was built from the ground up by a businessman, here I had been expecting a worn old man who had made his way in the business world over the years, not this...well I can't think of word worthy at the moment but I will get back to you on that one.

"Please fetch me a coffee from the coffee shop on 135th" a voice shook me from my thoughts, I looked up to see him still working, before he glanced up and smiled,

"Do I need to repeat myself Miss Hawthorne?" he bit out, a fake smile on his face, shocked at his bipolar attitude, I quickly stood from my chair and grabbed my coat from the back of the door, I hurried out of the office, grumbling I headed towards the personal elevator,

I was a personal assistant not a coffee slave! if this was going to be a regular thing we are going to fall out very quickly even if he is a nice sight to look at. I was a woman who had rights, but nonetheless a woman who needed to go get her boss's coffee from 135th street, I thought in resignation.

Huffing indignantly I picked up my coat before pressing the button of the private elevator that would take me back to the lobby, typing in my code again, I waited for it to descend.

Exiting the elevator, I scanned the room trying to familiarise myself with it, but again caught the receptionists eye, which I should refer to more as a stink eye as it was apparent she didn't hold me to high regards, from the inspection of my appearance.

Stopping suddenly and with purpose, I turned very slowly towards her making sure to keep eye contact with the bitch,

"Can I help you miss?" I asked slowly, as if I was talking to a child

"Actually you could, by answering my question?" she sneered harshly

"I guess, what is it?" suspicious of her motives, I raised my eyebrows

"How did trailer trash like you get a job here?" she scoffed, the corners of her mouth turning up in a sneer.

"Not that it has anything to do with you, but I'm Mr De Luca's PA if you must know, I guess trailer trash is his type" I smirked before turning away but not before catching the shocked look on her cake face.

________

Entering the quaint coffee shop, I anxiously wait for the queue of men and women to edge on ever closer to the single till. Judging from the amount of people I had to guess that they sold some good products otherwise it wouldn't be so busy and people wouldn't wait so long.

When I finally approached I realised I didn't know what to order him, thinking about various different coffees' I decided to get him a normal black coffee until the server surprised me,

"You are Mr De Luca's new assistant?" the teenager questioned a suspicious look in his eye,

"Yes I am, what business is it of yours?" feeling weary of the unknown boy,

"Just wanted to make sure, I will get you his usual right away ma'am"

Within a few minutes I had already been handed back a takeaway cup of coffee and muffin for myself, smiling and thanking him I bid him farewell and left to return to the office.

Knocking on the office door, I waited for approval to come in, when I didn't hear one I entered anyway, gazing around the large, modern and slightly cynical office I didn't happen to glimpse upon Mr De Luca until he had already entered from a door to the side revealing a bathroom to me.

He paused when he noticed me, before a scowl landed upon his face,

"You should have knocked" he growled

"Actually I did Sir" I ignored his mood and brushed it off, if I wanted to keep this job I had to be just as tough, which was unusual for me, as I was normally introverted and kept to myself, but this man brought out a side to me I hadn't seen since my catty high school days.

"Well knock louder next time Miss Hawthorne and wait for me to tell you to come in" he snaps, he grabs the coffee and the bag with the muffin inside before turning his back to me,

"That's..." I begin but am cut off,

"What!?" he growled again, I wanted to ask for my muffin back but I also wanted to keep my job here so I kept my mouth shut,

"Nothing Sir I will just get back to my desk now, call me on the intercom if you need anything" I bowed my head before leaving the room with my eyes cast towards the floor.

Asshole.
