It was only a few weeks after my dad had had a sezuire and had been contained in the hospital.... And since then I had made two new friends; Judy and Nick. They had been very supportive when I had gone to the hospital and had to take care of myself and my dads garden shop.
Judy had complained that, now my, garden shop was a dump, and first I gotten angry... But I knew where it was coming from. The garden store WAS a dump!
You know what the name of the stinking store was? 'Garden Shop'...
My dad wasn't the most creative guy in the city of Zootopia.
I smiled and rolled my eyes, thinking about the name. I brushed a strand of my (h/l) (h/c) away from my face, as I read a garden catalog, sitting in my chair behind the cashier.
A small silver bell tinkle came from the front of the shop, looking up as the door opened. A familiar fox was holding open the door, dressed in his green untucked dress shirt, his brown trousers, and his red, blue, and black tie hanging around his neck. Judy hopped/skipped into the shop, holding a bucket filled to the brim with cleaning supplies. She wore a white and light purple plaid shirt and jeans, wearing a garden hat. "Ready!" Judy said happily, her nose twitching in excitement as she pushed up her straw hat.
Nick snorted, rolling his brilliant green eyes as he strolled into the store with a smirk tingling on his lips. "Try not to look so excited, it's embarrassing." He teased, his red pointed ears twitching.
Judy rolled her eyes and sashayed up to my desk, jumping up to see me. "Hey!" She yelled from being so below the desk.
I smiled shyly and placed the catalog upside down on the desk. "Hey you two... Please tuck in your shirt Nick." I huffed in annoyance as I crossed my arms, twitching my nose.
Nick tilted his head, staring at the ceiling as if he was debating the question. "Um.... No. You'll just have to deal with it Goldilocks." He smirked, shrugging.
I flashed him a glare and stood up, pushing my chair up. "Jerk, and don't call me Goldilocks!" I complained, remembering the last few times that I complained about his untidy green shirt.
Nick shrugged, still smirking as he walked around the garden, looking at things. Judy sighed and waved her paws around. "I'm RIGHT here you two!" She grumbled as I let out a small chuckle and patted her head.
"We know." I said as I pulled my paw back, her glare scaring me, and picked up the bucket she had brought in.
"So..." I said, grabbing a straw hat and stuffing my (h/c) hair into it. "What do we do first?" I asked confused, not noticing the mess in the small shop.
Nick snorted, picking up a broken clay pot and throwing it into the trash. "You really don't see the mess, do you Goldilocks?" He asked with mock pity, shaking his head.
I frowned, staying silent as I crossed my golden fur covered arms with slight confidence. "No, because when you live with a messy dad who is currently in the freaking hospital, you end up respecting him and leaving his shop a complete mess!" I ranted, rubbing my eyes with a small huff.
Judy rolled her eyes and sighed, her nose twitching. "Now now ladies, calm down..." She grumbled, crossing her arms.
I grumbled and once again sat down. "Yeah yeah... We're wasting our time, NICK. Let's just start cleaning." I said with a sigh, tweaking my pointed ear from force of habit.
|~A Few Hours Later~|
Me and Judy collapsed on the couch of my apartment, breathing heavily. Nick didn't even bother to join us, he just sat down on my kitchen table.
I grunted in annoyance and rolled my eyes, still breathing heavily. "Thanks for that. It's not like I eat on there." I grumbled as Nick smirked, raising a nonexistent brow.
"Oh really?" He grinned, moving side to side on my kitchen table.
Judy snorted and sat up on her knees, leaning over on the couch. "You sir," she started, pointing a paw at him. "Are disgusting." She said with a smile.
Nick gasped, pressing his paws over the place where his heart was. "I... Did not know that!" He gushed as I covered my mouth to hold back a laugh.
I then sighed, my head lolling over the side of the couch as I stared out the now clean window of my second story window. I could hear the chatter of the many animals walking around outside.
I closed my eyes, letting the fresh air from the slightly cracked open window ruffle my fur. I stretched my paws, my claws jutting out before being extracted in.
Now if only my dad was out of the hospital with us... I would be content.
Suddenly the tinkle of the silver bells from the downstairs door snapped me back to reality. I looked up at the two bickering predator and prey and frowned.
"Did you guys hear that?" I questioned, my ears twitching quickly. Nick barley glanced at me as he glared playfully at Judy.
So much for friends.
I sighed and stood up, wincing as I rubbed my sore back. I fixed the straw hat on my head as I walked towards my apartment door and opened it, going down the long flight of stairs towards my shop.
I peeked in through the window in the door connecting the stairs to my shop. My eyes suddenly widened at the male wolf.. Standing in my shop.
But why REALLY surprised me was that he was a boy that I had met only a few days ago.
I quickly summoned up the courage and stepped into the newly renovated store. I placed my paws on my hips and raised a brow, trying to look confident. "Can I help you?" I asked curtly.
The wolf looked up at me and smiled, crossing his arms. "Hey (Y/n)! Don't ya remember me?" He said with a smile.
I sighed and let my paws fall to my side. So much for being confident. "Yes, I do Kai. What are you doing here?" I asked tilting my head to the side.
Kai rolled his brilliant blue eyes, his white and grey ears twitching. "Don't tell me you already forgot what we are supposed to do tonight..." He said trailing off.
I frowned, holding back a blush as I looked away with a curse. "Crap..." I murmured as Kai snickered and turned around, glancing over his shoulder.
"Yeah, I thought so. Don't forget to wear something cute." Kai grinned with a wink before he left the shop, disappearing into the sea of local animals.
I rolled my eyes once more and bit my lip, holding back a grin. Inside, I was practically screaming in excitement. But outside, I kept myself contained.
If my dad was here he would surely get angry, since he didn't trust wolves all in all... But, all wolves couldn't be THAT bad... Right?
I smiled and clapped my golden paws together in excitement.
Now I just had to tell Nick and Judy-
"You have a date!?!"
