-Unfortunately, due to school and the like I will not be able to continue this for some time. Although I know barely anyone has viewed it in the time that it has been up lol-

In the Hether, abundance was always present. The dark trees with the frosty white leaves were beacons of perfection and prosperity. No flame touched the holy land nor the river that the Personalities dwelled by. But there was a young man with ice cold eyes that made the wind stir and howl. And yet he was not a zodiac, at least not quite. His rich hair blended into the bark behind him. His head rested on his knees, and he stared ahead blankly as if he were blind. Young Virgo's eyes fixate on his figure in interest, but did not want to look like a stalker. She knew that Libra broke many hearts, and that perhaps this man had suffered that fate. Virgo stepped forward to confront him, but an unknown energy stopped her. It was unnervingly calm; not serene but relaxed and ancient, and it pulsed through her like a living thing.

"Who are you?"

"Nobody." The man's lips were not moving. The voice must have been coming from behind her. She turned to glimpse an unworldly beast with piercing frosty azure eyes that seemed to reflect the water of the holy river Azurkh. His wings carried the despairs of the mortal dimension and the presence of guilt and fear, and yet this creature seemed peaceful. In the light a shade of evening rose glittered on his azure skin. In a way she was awed by his display of power. Death lingered over him, waiting to reap its plump fruits and harvest the spirits that seemed to cling to this beast like a lifeline. She edged away from him slightly, stormy gray eyes looking into his. Although Death was so nearby, he brought a sense of tranquil, of letting go and no longer caring.

"Than who is he?"

"I am the man you speak of. I had no choice to preserve myself. Eras ago there was thirty-three zodiacs and three clans. The one you are in now was the only one the spiritual ruler of this land decided to keep. I was the last one to survive from my clan. A beautiful goddess with scarlet hair was the patron of Daec. Often vindictive Personalities were placed in her house. She tried her best to be kindhearted. Eventually she could no longer endure the cruel judgement of the other Zodiacs and murdered them all except for me who was hidden in the depths of the forests.

Afterwards, she killed herself. Earlier that day I had been training and summoned a defense ward. Because all Zodiacs thrive off each other's power, as you know, I was weak. With the last of my power I preserved myself in time and transformed into the representation of my zodiac, the Wyvrnak." A sigh escaped from his jaw as if it were his last, final breath.

"I watched her kill her. The one I desired." Virgo cocked her head, grey-green eyes slit as she studied him. The word was familiar. The edges of his serpentine jawline quirked, displaying dagger sharp fangs although his eyes betrayed him. A certain sadness was brewing inside of those ice eyes.

"What was her name?"

"Her name. Why, it was Virgo." Virgo's lips parted in surprise, but in a matter of seconds her expression was gone only to be replaced by a feigned sympathy.

"I'm sorry. For her."

"I am in no need of your apology." His eyes hardened visibly, and in that moment she proved the theory that the eyes were the gateway to the soul. The creature decides to change the topic, and Virgo notices it by the way his pupils dilated and quickly darted upwards. And yet she said nothing to him.

"I thought someone would have discovered me earlier. Apparently not."

"We zodiacs don't get out a lot." Virgo replied humorously.

"I can tell." He bowed his long neck, nimble limbs twisting slightly as he became level with Virgo's lively eyes. His hot breath came in contact with her skin that was chilled by the Hether's cool wind.
