Bowling

Adeline POV

When school was over I met Dalton outside. I parked next to him in the parking lot so he could follow me home.

"Okay let's go." I say and get in my car. He gets in his and we both drive off toward my house.

When we get there my mom's car is in the driveway.

Well I guess I have to introduce Dalton to my mom.

"Well this is my house." I say as we walk to the door.

We walk in and my mom is sitting in her chair watching tv.

"Hey mom. This is my friend Dalton. He's here to see my artwork and hang out." I say.

"Okay that's fine Della." She says.

We go upstairs to my room. "Well this is my room. You can sit down in the chair of you want." I say.

"Wow your room is really nice. These paintings are amazing." Dalton says.

"Thanks they are my best ones." I say. "You know I could draw you if you wanted."

"That would be really cool." Dalton says.

"Do you want to watch a movie or something?" I ask.

"Uh sure." He says.

"Let's go downstairs so I can make popcorn." I say.

We go downstairs and my mom is getting her keys.

"Hey Della I've got to go to work I'll be home late and Carter is staying at Max's house tonight. Goodbye love you." She says.

"Love you too mom." I say and she walks out the door. "My mom is a nurse so she's never really home."

"Oh that sucks." Dalton says.

"Yeah but it's always like that so I'm used to it. You want hot sauce for the popcorn?" I ask.

"No thanks." He says.

We go upstairs with popcorn and other snacks.

"What do you want to watch?" I ask.

"What about Harry Potter?" he suggests.

"Sure." I say and put the movie in.

I sit in my giant beanbag with Dalton.

"My friends really like you." He says.

"Yeah I like them too they're really nice." I say.

"I really love Harry Potter it's my favorite movie." He says.

"Yeah I'm obsessed." I say.

"We should go to Comic-Con as Harry and Hermione." He says. "I have tickets for it."

"That would be awesome." I say.

"Yeah Gabe is going too as Batman." He says. "And Cole as Prince Eric."

We both laugh at that. "You're kidding right?" I ask.

"No he's really going as Prince Eric I'm not kidding you." He says.

I laugh again. I push play on the movie and put the popcorn in between us.

Halfway through the movie Gabe calls Dalton.

"Gabe wants us to come over to his house. Do you want to?" He asks.

"Sure." I say turning off my tv. "Do you want to go in my car?"

"Sure. Want me to drive?" He asks.

"If you want." I say and we go downstairs and outside to my car.
