Part 15- Don't Forget About Me.
Song for this chapter- Lovebug- Jonas Brothers.
Elsie's POV:
"Favorite band?"
"Don't make me choose!"
"Favorite band!?" He shouted, laughing as we tried to keep going fast.
"Uhh, One Direction. Favorite ice cream flavor?"
"Superman! Favorite celebrity?"
"Johnny Depp." I answered quickly. "Favorite country?"
"Australia!" He grinned. "Favorite movie?"
"All the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Favorite instrument?"
"Guitar and tambourine." I laughed at our responses to our game of lightning twenty questions.
"So, Luke.." Michael said, raising an eyebrow.
"What about him?" I asked, kicking my legs up and down, bouncing them on my bed.
"Well he's madly head over heels for Lily, that's what. He just doesn't have the courage to tell her." He explained.
"Are you playing match maker, Michael?" I laughed, standing up for my bed.
"No, I'm just helping a mate out." He laughed, following me up.
"So, what are you going to do about it?" I asked him.
"I don't know yet. That's why I told you." He said. I aimlessly went through my closet as I talked with him.
"Why don't we go on a double date?" I said.
"Elsie!" He yelled, causing my heart to jump. I turned around, worried what was wrong but he was just ginning.
"What!?" I shrieked.
"That's brilliant!" He said. I sighed, holding my chest. I turned back to my closet and grabbed a t-shirt and some shorts.
"That's my shirt." Michael said, but I didn't really hear him as I walked to my bathroom. I shrugged and pulled the shirt on, tucking it into my shorts, and rolled the sleeves. It was just one of his plain black t-shirts, so I pulled on a necklace and some bracelets.
I put on make up and pulled my hair into a braid. I stepped out and saw Michael fully dressed, texting on his phone. He was on his back on my bed, lifting his phone up so he could read it. I walked over to him and sat down next to him.
"Hey." I laughed.
He put his phone and down and looked at me, just smiling.
"What?" I asked.
"Just looking at my beautiful girlfriend." He smiled.
"Shut up." I laughed, rolling my eyes.
"Come here." He motioned to for me to lay down on him. I laid down, hugging his waist and resting my head on his chest. He grabbed my hand and held it out, running his fingers from my palm to my forearm and back again. I watched our hands, feeling Michael's heartbeat, and mine matching it's rhythm.
"I can't get you out of my mind." He whispered.
"I think about you every minute of everyday. You've taken up every inch of my heart. I try thinking about something else, but I always find myself thinking back to you. You've showed me what it's like to be cared for, and it's showed me what's really out there. I would take a bullet for you, just to make sure you were safe. You're my everything, Elsie. Your smile brings me so much joy, just knowing you're happy. I want to know everything about you. I want to kiss you every moment I have with you. And it scares me, because I'm leaving. Sooner then we thought. And I don't know what I'll do without you." He said, and as the words sank in, my heart sank right along with them.
"When are you leaving?" I asked him, my voice cracking.
"In a week and a half." He said, his eyes filling with sadness.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked, tears filling my eyes. I sat up, leaning on my elbow.
"Because I was afraid of what you'd say. I didn't want you to think I was leaving you." He said. While some of myself was mad at him for not telling me, I wasn't mad long, because I knew he was as heartbroken as I was.
"It's okay." I said, wiping the tears that appeared at the corner of his eyes.
"I'm so sorry, Elsie." He whispered, sitting up to hug me tightly. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders, pulling me to him. I felt his body shake slightly, and I knew he was crying. It felt so different, for him to be the vulnerable one, but I wanted to be there for him like he'd always been there for me.
"Let's focus on now. Just like we've always done. I'm here, now, and you're here. That's all that matters." I whispered, running my fingers threw the back of his hair.
"Okay." He whispered.
"Just promise me one thing." I said.
"What?"
"Don't forget about me."
