"You tell me that every time I spend a night over your house." She smiled.

Asha spend a lot of time over my house because her parents were constantly fighting. Her mom was black and her dad was white and the way they were raised always seemed to clash.

"You better stop staring Lia before you fall in love." She teased.

I only smiled and looked up at my friends at the table. Too bad I was already in love with someone and they didn't even know it.

The bell rang signaling that school was over. I opened my locker and shoved in all the homework and books I refused to take home.

"Lia I don't want to go home." Asha poked her lip out.

I caught it in a kiss and smirked.

"Go to the library, I'll pick you up when I'm finished." She nodded and skipped away to the library.

Literally skipped.

I sighed and walked down to the principals office. I knocked on his door and there was a faint come in.

I walked inside and there sat my Uncle Benny sitting in his office with his hands over his face.

"Hey uncle, what's up?" I asked as I sat down and put my feet up on his desk.

"You're out of your mind Cecelia." He shook his head.

"Where's Clarity? She usually comes with you." He looked at the door expecting it to open.

"Clarity and I aren't really on speaking terms right now. I'm giving us space apart at the moment." I said as I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Ah geez what happened? You guys never fight, it must be the end of the world." He joked.

I could tell you now that I am extremely close with my uncles and my dad. The women in my family not so much but the men, we easily connect. It's not just because I like girls. Before I even let out that I was a lesbian I always seemed to get along with the men of the family instead of the women. My aunts and stuff loves going shopping with my sister and playing dress up, I liked watching the football games, playing video games and working on cars.

She said some really hurtful things to me, I know she didn't mean them but she still said them. Women are just tough ya know?" I said.

He looked at me and chuckled.

"You realize you're a girl right?"

"No just think of me as a super hot guy with tits." I smirked.

He shook his head and smiled.
"The things that come out of your mouth. Listen Lia I really need you to be on your best behavior, this is your last year of highschool and the teachers are getting tired of your attitude, the fighting the back talk it's becoming too much, just try to be on your best behavior." He said.

I looked at my watch and stood up. I'll try my best Mr. Summers," I smirked.

I walked out and headed out of the building. I sent Asha a quick text telling her to get her ass in my car.

As I walked out I noticed Clarity sitting there on the school steps with her headphones in her ear, waiting patiently.

I know her dad drove her to school this morning and sometimes he works overtime in the office but he doesn't get off till 5 and it will take forever for him to get up here. Her family really needs two cars.

I took a deep breath and walked over to her. I tapped her on her shoulder and watched as she whipped around and stared at me bug eyed.

"Do you need a ride home?" I asked nonchalantly.

He nodded her head and looked down.

I started walking to my car unlocked it so we could get inside. She reached for the passenger side door and that's when I stopped her.

"Asha is sitting there." I said.

She bit the corner of her lip and looked down.

"Okay."

I couldn't help myself, she looked so sweet and innocent and the look she had made it look like she was going to cry any moment.

"Lia I am so sorry." I heard her say.

I sighed and looked around at the school entrance for Asha.

"Just drop it."

"But-"

"Clarity drop it!" I yelled.

She remained quiet in the backseat as Asha began skipping out of the school.

This will be an interesting ride.
