Third Person POV:
"I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU KEEP FALLING IN!!" Ed yelled obviously annoyed.

"I get full." Al said.

"FULL OF WHAT?!"

Just then sand fell out of Al's armor onto Edward, Van smiled at the two of her brothers. Ed just glared at her. Ed was chasing Al in circles. Once he had finished, they started to walk to the town that was, Lior. They stopped walking and Ed thought he heard water, so he ran to it as fast as he could but it turned out to just be Red Wine. He was so disappointed.

"What do you think you're doing?" a guy pulled Ed off of the fountain.

Ed explained and the guy took them to a shack like thing. They ordered drinks.

"I didn't know you guys were out of towners! Sorry about that." he smiled.

"So who are you guys anyway?" he asked curiously.

"Those two are state alchemists, I'm surprised you've never heard of them. That's Edward Elric, The Fullmetal Alchemist, and that girl there is Van Elric, The Calamity Alchemist. Nobody has gotten a chance to see her alchemy and actually understand why that's her alchemist name." A woman says, she has a cloak on so none of the siblings see her face.

"Oh, I see. They call you The Fullmetal Alchemist because you wear this suit of armour." "Hey, would you wanna come to my daughters birthday party? I'll pay you." "Hey young man, would you like to work for me, fixing things and such?"

"Actually, I'm not The Fullmetal Alchemist. He is." Al pointed at his brother. Ed smiled proudly then he heard "That shorty?" Ed had an irk mark on his head and looked like he was about to explode. Van shot him a look that said 'don't you dare start your yapping', but Ed couldn't help himself.

"Shorty?! Could a shorty do this?! What else you want to call me: a half-pint bean-sprout midget?! I'm still growing you backwater desert idiots!"

And with that Van grabbed Ed and Al and was about to drag them away but she heard them start talking to a girl named Rose. They all stopped and got introduced but Ed had to introduce Van since she doesn't have a voice.

"So what are you guys doing here?" Rose asked politely.

"We're looking for something." Ed answered.

"I could introduce you to father Cornello. I'm sure he'll let you stay in the visitors rooms for as long as you're searching." she smiled at them sweetly.

"No, it's o-" Al was interrupted.

"I think we'll take you up on the offer."

Van signed at him 'we will?'

"Yes, we will."

They followed Rose to what looked like a church. Rose walked upstairs and left the three downstairs.

Rose knocked on Cornello's door.

"Come in!" he said happily.

"Hello, father Cornello. I was wondering if I could put some travellers in the visitors quarter's."

"Of course my dear! You've been doing such good deeds, I'm sure the Sun God will bring Cane back soon." he smiled at her. She said thank you, smiled back and then left.

The next day:
Ed, Al and Van were watching Cornello transmute things.

"It's pretty obvious. He's using alchemy." Al said.

"Yeah but something's wrong. There's no equivalent exchange."

Van signed 'Maybe he's a real holy man.' she giggled but no sounds came out.
