Are you ready to go? Marli texts me. My mom and I are outside waiting. I grab my crossbody Vera Bradley purse and walk outside to greet Marli waiting at my door.
"I'm so glad we can be friends." Marli says and hugs me.
"Me too." I reply as I hug her back.
We walk to her mom in the car and get in. I look at the gorgeous scenery as we drive to Subway. Where I live there are so many backways filled with beautiful woods. I see the Subway sign ahead of us as we get closer and closer to it.
"Alright, we're here! I'll be over at First Watch and you guys just call me when you're done and I'll come pick you up." Marli's mom tells us.
"Thanks Mrs.Peterson!" I call.
"Thanks, Mom!" Repeats Marli.
We enter Subway and the smells fill the air.
"Are you gonna get something?" Whispers Marli
"Oh, um, no. I'm actually not hungry anymore." I answer.
My appetite is gone and I want to go home. That's what I want to tell Marli, but I can't.
