I was playing video games when Dean waltzed in through my front door. "Gray! Come on, you need to come with me man. The girls are outnumbering me." I almost laughed out loud. Poor Dean. He had to go to the reunion. "Over here" I yelled lazily
from my comfortable couch. "Come with me please" Dean said, using his puppy face. (which doesn't really work) Ok" I said, "just let me get ready". I ran upstairs and put on a pair of jeans and a black shirt. Dean was already waiting at the door for me, happily humming a random song, I guess? "Do you think your family will be okay with having a stranger at your reunion?" "Yeah, my family is cool with that. Oh, and just so you know my cousin isn't magical. Aunt Mel says her dad was human, though we never met him." Dean said casually. "Crescent?" I asked, "Yes, Crescent, but don't call her that, she'll piss on you. call her Cress." "okay" I answered, distracted. "Weird, right? Crescent like the moon? Ha ha?" Dean said in a lame attempt of a pun. Realizing it wasn't very good, he opened the door and walked next door, opening the gate. I was almost immediately filled with the scent of strawberry, and I stumbled, full of new energy. The scent wasn't overwhelming like perfume, but it was still strong and smelled really good "Do you smell that?" I asked Dean. "What?", "Never mind".  We talked to some of his relatives, and eventually Dean took us through a small bush archway into a section of the garden filled with flowers. The strange scent of strawberries was stronger here, and it was addicting, but still weird. There was a girl with long blond hair talking to a girl with brown hair, who had her back to me. I kept my head down, but when she turned around, I saw her steely gray eyes and a splash of freckles on her cheeks and nose, which softened her face along with her coral pink lips. Dean looked at me and introduced us, and I accidentally muttered "smells like strawberries". Her eyes widened, and when a new wave of strawberry smell hit me, I noticed it wasn't just strawberry, but also smelled like the sea and s'mores and I couldn't help but deeply inhale, probably looking like a creep. I suddenly felt the need to get closer, like a strange tugging right below my ribcage. I realized the scent was coming from her. No powers, my butt. This girl was probably the most powerful in the whole family! I noticed she was staring at me with a weird expression, so I said "umm, I have to go" and I left a chuckling Dean behind.

Later, Dean came to where I was standing next to a pine tree in the edge of the garden and said "Man! You told her she smelled like strawberries and then you went all Wolfy on her smelling the air!" " She has a LOT of power, Dean. I could smell her since we got into the garden." Dean started to laugh and choked out "You were basically drooling, not that she noticed with you looking at the grass." I chuckled, Dean could be very observant. He and his sister were in training. "Cress and Gray, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-" " Hey guys, what's going on?" Shea interrupted Dean. Gray gave him the deadliest death glare he could muster at the moment, but he probably just looked like a constipated wolf. He could still feel the strange pull towards her on the other side of the garden, but it was less now that he wasn't looking at her. Dean was going to be staying at their house for a little while, so I would get to see him more often. And maybe just small peeks of Cress.
