Happy Anniversary (Danisnotonfire x Reader)

You and Dan have been dating for a year now today is your anniversary. Dan surprised you earlier today by taking you out to breakfast. Then he took you to a nearby amusement park. Now you two were heading back to the apartment, you shared with Dan and Phil, so they could film a 'Dan vs. Phil'. You two decide to walk home because it's reminiscent of your first date.

~Flashback~

You meet Dan at the restaurant of his choice. He swears it's the best place he's ever been to. It sounded good but you are too nervous to eat. You are wearing a short black dress with back flats and a black clutch. Your makeup was inspired by Zoella's makeup tutorial with gold eyes and nude lips. You pull open the heavy mahogany doors and walk in. You notice the rustic style of the restaurant and the mixture of booths and tables. Your eyes are immediately drawn to the floor but you know you need to look up to find Dan. You spot him with ease he has the brightest smile in the building. He stands up to greet you and you notice he is wearing all black like you. You notice his jacket and how much you like it. At that moment you realize you forgot your jacket but you don't care because cold doesn't really affect you.

"Hello [Y/N], I'm Dan!" Dan said smiling.

"H-hi Dan" you uttered with a slight smile.

He gestures to the booth and you both sit. "I hope you don't mind that I ordered us salads..that way we won't feel guilty when we go candy shopping after." he said slightly worried.

You smile "That's perfect!"

All throughout dinner you guys talk about your channels and channels you like to watch. Dan pays for dinner even though you insist on paying for half. You two leave the restaurant and cold hitting you when you get outside. You figure you will be fine as long as you don't linger outside. You fold your arms to cling on to what heat you have.

Dan turns to you placing his jacket around your shoulders without saying a word. You smile at him and blush. You do your candy shopping letting Dan pick out most of the candy. It starts getting late and Dan can see you getting sleepy.

"Here let's get you home" he says placing your arm around you. You two walk the streets of London until you reach your apartment. He takes the time to walk you to your door. you unlock your door, give him a hug and thank him. You walk inside and right before you close the door you hear "My jacket?"

You look at him and smile "Gives me an excuse to see you again" he blushes and smiles back.

~End Flashback~

"Hey [Y/N] look it's that camera I've been wanting to get!" Dan said pointing at a camera inside a shop. "Can we go inside quickly?"

"Sure" you smile.

Dan walks inside he looks like a child inside a candy store. He has been wanting this camera for months but hasn't been able to find it. Now that he's found it there is no way he can leave without it. "[Y/N] I can't believe they have it! I have to get it!"

"Dan maybe you should think about it. I mean...it's three grand...you should be sure."

"By the way we don't take returns on electronics" a store clerk uttered as he walked by.

"Maybe you should wait..I don't want you to be unhappy and unable to return it."

He light fades from his eyes "Oh...okay...I guess you're right."

You can tell he really wanted that camera.

You two walk back to the apartment in silence. Dan unlocks the door to the apartment and walks upstairs. "I'm gonna go film with Phil."

"Okay"

"HEY [Y/N]!!" Phil screams from upstairs.

"Hey Phil!"

You sit on the couch and turn on your laptop. You start to scroll through Tumblr and you realize you forgot your charger. "Hey Dan, can you bring down my laptop charger? I think I left it in your room."

"Not now [Y/N]. I'm trying to film."

"Please!"

"Get it yourself."

"It'll take you two seconds!"

"[Y/N] for the last time let me film!"

"It's our anniversary the least you could do is get me my charger!"

You went too far. "Are you fucking kidding me?! I take you to breakfast then to an amusement park and you don't even care! Then you stop me from getting the camera I've been wanting for months!" You start crying but he doesn't care and continues to scream from the gaming room. Phil walks out of the gaming room into Dan's room. "You haven't put any effort into our anniversary. I hate you!"

Now you are sobbing. "If you hate me why don't you leave me?" you scream.

Phil walks into the gaming room and sees Dan pissed. Dan looks up and sees Phil holding a box with 'To: Dan' written on it. He walks over to it and pulls the lid off the box. He sees a camera but not any camera. It's the $3,000 camera he wants. He picks it up and under it is a note.

'I would have gotten you a cool case or something but it's all the money I had.

"Shit" he runs down the stairs and he sees you running to the door. "[Y/N] stop! You'll freeze outside!"

He's right. You turn around running past him up the stairs. You reach Phil's room and slam the door turning the lock. You run to the corner of his room pressing your head against the wall with tears streaming down your face. You hear Dan trying to open the door. "Open the door!"

"Make me!" you scream in between sobs. Everything goes silent. You figure he gave up. But a few seconds later you hear metal clinking together. Then you see the door open. Dan had picked the lock, he drops the pick and runs over to you. "Get away from me!" you scream. He wraps his arms around you pulling you close to him. "I love you. I love you. I love you." he repeatedly whispers. You continue to cry and try to push him away. He only pulls you closer. "I'm sorry..I'm so sorry"

You stop fighting back. You lift your head to look at him. You see the regret in his eyes as he wipes the tears from your cheek. He leans down gently kissing your cheek. He drops his arms and gives you a slight smile. You dart at him wrapping your arms around him. He grabs your waist pressing his forehead against yours. You smile at each other then you see a flash of light, you turn to see Phil holding the camera smiling. Dan chases Phil trying to get the camera from him. Dan gets the camera and sets it on his dresser.

"Thank you. I love you so much [Y/N]"

"I love you too Dan" you say as you interlock your fingers with his.

"Happy Anniversary babe"
