Chapter 1

The GPS said the store is supposed to be at the end of this street. The Vodafone shop should be right about here. The next thing I know I am laid out flat on the side of the street with a tall figure over me and my iced chia latte spilt all over me. "I am so sorry, I wasn't even looking. It is all my fault I am sorry." The figure says, I don't say anything just place my hand in his extended out in front of me.

Whilst I am being pulled up I examine the man who knocked me to the ground. He is tall like quite taller than me, most likely over six foot, he's got dark brown curly hair that complements his tan complexion, a beautiful set of dark chocolate eyes, the thing that really caught my attention was his smile. Damn. It was just, everything.

Once I was back on my feet I gave the stranger a smile and a small nod. "I am truly sorry about running into you and spilling you drink all over you" he says in a believable apologetic voice. Something on the ground catches his eye, he frowns a little bending down to pick up whatever had caught his interest. As he stands back up to his full height I now can see what had caught the strangers interest, I could feel myself getting angry and frustrated fast. "And for breaking your phone." He says in a small voice handing me my iPhone 6E back to me.

I can't believe it, I cannot believe that just happened. All I wanted to do was go to Vodafone to see if I could get a cheap phone contract and now I have no phone to have on the contract. "Are you f*cking serious. Just my f*cking luck!" I say with a voice full of anger. "Great now because of you I am without a phone for a whole f*cking year, just perfect" I almost feel sorry for saying that to him, but then again, I am the one soaked in coffee with a completely smashed phone.

"Woah, look I am really sorry. Umm here, follow me." Not that I really had a choice but to follow him, dude had a hold of my arm. He was dragging me in the direction that I was originally walking in. In all honesty I really didn't try to stop him from taking me where ever he was, I had nothing to lose, and it was a busy street so it'd be easy to get help if need be.

His long legs covered in black tight jeans were taking huge strides that my little legs could barely keep up with. I must say I was kind of jealous of the dark green bunnyhug he was wearing, it looked comfortable. I was too caught up in his bunnyhug that I barely noticed him yanking me into the store.

When we entered I saw I huge sign saying Vodafone. "Umm why did you take me here? I really don't have the money to buy a new phone." I say, but he doesn't say anything, he actually didn't even turn around to acknowledge that I said anything. He just carried on dragging me to the back of the store where the countertop was.

We stopped and he finally let go of my arm. Him and the person at the counter exchanged a few words amongst each other, then the employee nodded his head and went off into the back room. Finally, the stranger turned to face me, "can you tell me why you dragged me here please?"

"To get you a new phone and a contract of course." I looked at him in confusion, did he not just hear me? I CANNOT afford a new phone and a contract.

"I don't think you heard me earlier, I can't afford that. Especially not both at the same time."

"You might not be able to, but I can."

      "I am sorry, what?"

"Look, I feel really bad for bumping into you like that. I mean I hit you so hard to fell onto the pavement, spilled your Starbucks, and completely smashed your phone. The least I can do is buy you a new phone and pay for the contract." I look at him in complete awe. This hast to be a joke, this guy cannot be serious about buying me all of this.

Before I can say anything in return the employee from earlier comes back and the stranger's attention is back on him. It takes me a good two or three minutes to process what is happening and when it does I know that I cannot accept the gift.

I pat his arm multiple times before he turns his body towards me. "I am very grateful you want to repay me like this, but I cannot let you do this. Really it is too much."

"Well it's too late now, here is your phone, and this is your new phone number." As he says this I am handed a slip of paper with a number written on it and a small box. I look down at my hands and just about drop the box. Written on the white box is the words iPhone X. Now this is really something I cannot accept.

"No, no, no. I can't. This is way too much. An iPhone X? Are you kidding me this its self is over a grand, not to mention you just payed for my contract as well. No, I refuse to accept this gift, really its too much. I feel bad about it."

All he does is laugh at me. I mean I can't blame him, I most likely look hilarious right now with my soaked clothes. "Look don't feel bad, really. It's honestly not a big deal, money wise for me." Money wise? Are you kidding me? I usually debate with myself whether or not it is really necessary for me to buy lunch. He must have noticed my astonished expression because he added; "I am in a band and our gigs pay very well." Well damn. I am impressed.

"Okay, well if you are sure about this. Then thank-you a hundred times, you really helped me out here."

"Its nothing really, now onto the next problem. Your clothes. I have a washer and dryer at my place you can just throw it in the wash if you want."

I look at him with a suspicious look, eyeing him up a bit, okay a lot. "I don't know, I mean I don't even know your name. Plus, how do I know you aren't a rapist or a serial killer. Or worse, a vegan?"

A loud laugh protrudes out of his mouth. The sound is beautiful. Laughing looks really good on him. God, what the hell did I just say. "Calum. You will just have to trust me, and god no." I can't help but giggle slightly at his answers.

"Well considering what you just purchased for me I think I may just trust you on that. And I am Kayla Cech, no relation to Petr Cech though I wish."

"Okay then Mrs. Cech please follow me."

The walk to his place was quiet, not too uncomfortable. But then again, I was to wrapped up in setting up my new phone to really pay any attention to what his body language was like. We walk up to a large skyscraper; the whole building was glass windows and it looked like something an actress would live in. To my surprise Calum leads me into the glass window building.

The lobby is something out of a magazine, all white with copper fixtures. In the elevator he pushes the button with the number twenty-three on it. The ride is silent, I honestly don't even know what to really say right now. What can I say? "Holy shit how f*cking rich are you?!" No defiantly not that.

Getting out of the elevator he leads me to the left and down to the end of the hallway where he types in the four-digit password. I turn my head to the left to give him some privacy.

When we walk in I am in amazement. The place is outstanding, the white theme from the lobby is carried up into the apartment. The modern furnishings and fixtures make the place look comforting but stylish at the same time. "Uh so the washer is over this way."
