"I can't believe you still don't have your license." I teased with a growing smile.
"It's not that weird for someone my age to not have a license," My older brother shrugged, his voice exasperated and slightly irritated, "Besides, everything is walking distance around here."
"Oh please, Jeonghan." I rolled my eyes, provoking a playful fight. "You're just too lazy to learn."
"What's with you grilling me today?" He grumbled, "You've been here less than an hour and you're already getting on my nerves."
"I'm sorry, Jeonghan." I giggled. I snuggled my head into the side of his shoulder as we walked side by side. The afternoon breeze ruffled my hair, "I promise I won't annoy you for at least the next ten minutes."
"Good, because if you do you're carrying your own luggage." Jeonghan fussed, motioning to the pink suitcase he had been rolling behind him, "God, what's in this thing anyway?"
"Some clothes." I paused for a moment, "I think there's some beef jerky, too."
"Is the beef jerky made out of cement?" Jeonghan let his shoulders slump and gave a dramatic sigh.
"No, I think it's mainly beef, actually." I quipped, Jeonghan shaking his head at my comment.
"Well, lucky for me, we're just about at my complex." Jeonghan announced.
I hopped giddily as the distance to my new house lessened. I knew as soon as the dusty blue building came in sight that I was going to like it here.
Jeonghan had sent me pictures of his apartment building before, but seeing it in real life was much different. It was bigger than I had expected, stretching over the enormous property. Though it wasn't all that luxurious, it was cute and home-y looking.
"It's so pretty!" I exclaimed.
"You know, I've missed that optimistic attitude of yours." Jeonghan mentioned genuinely.
"I missed you too." I rushed, pushing him from behind, "Now let's get inside."
"The apartments aren't going anywhere, calm down." He chuckled, but allowed me to shove him through the doors without any further complaints.
Upon our entrance, Jeonghan greeted the door man with a boyish grin. "Hey, Mr. Lee."
"Good afternoon." Mr. Lee looked up with an amused chortle, "And who might this be?"
"Hi, I'm Yoon Faye." I introduced myself, bowing to the older man.
He nodded approvingly, "I see, so you're the famous sister he's been going on about."
"Yes, and you must be the door man. I've heard so much about you. " I jested with a sideways grin. My brother immediately elbowed me in the ribs.
"Sorry, Faye was just on the bus for like two hours." Jeonghan assured him, "She's not always this sarcastic."
"What he said," I went along with it, though we both knew that it was a little fib. "I apologize."
