" Get away from her " You call lunging into your mothers path.

" No? As the chancellor i am ordering you to step aside ".

You hear the sheets behind you moving and glance back to Lexa who is staring at you, into you,

terrified.

" What the hell did you do to her? " You growl stepping into your mothers space, giving her no where to go, no where to run. She says nothing, but she doesn't flinch.

" She's seventeen, did you know that? Seventeen, that's not even as old as me, and you tortured her, For no reason. So no chancellor i will not step aside and no chancellor we will not finish this conversation later because if i'm lucky after today i will never have to speak to you again ".

" Clarke you are stepping across a very dangerous line ".

" We know what your council meeting was about. If she's going i'm going with her. Kane too ".

"Like hell you are. You're staying here, in this camp, with you're people ".

" See chancellor i don't live in this camp which means you have no authority over anything i do. We'll leave at sunrise ".

" What have you told her? " The woman shouts, shoving me aside to get to Lexa who can do nothing but raise her arms infront of her face to defend herself.

" That you'll attack our camp if she doesn't go with you? What do you want with my daugh- "

" Get away from her " You shriek pulling your mother away and holding your hands over Lexas, her eyes are clenched shut and even with your hands over hers they don't open, you slowly pull her arms away from her face and she slowly opens her eyes. " It's okay " you promise, turning back to your mother who is staring at you with wide eyes.

" Clarke, don't be like this, we're your people, you belong here, Not with these savages. Not with her " she growls.

" We'll be gone first thing in the morning. If i were you i would leave, don't make me call Ryder " You say, leaving no room for the argument you know would be waiting.

The woman looks between the brunette and you for a few seconds and from the twitch in her eye you think she might pounce on Lexa, but to both your surprise and relief she swiftly turns and marches out the door, slamming it in her absense.
