All my life I have always had this uncanny ability to get myself in the worst situations possible.
For example, when I was fourteen I had the biggest crush on John Fellhouse, such a big crush that the first and last time I talked to him was the day of our school field day. My friend Sasha forced me to go and talk to him and I threw my slushy up all over him. Or the time I found myself hung over in a Miami County jail only in a bikini when I was 17. Long story.
Or when I started college when I was 19 years old and became best friends with my roommate Victoria to only find out that she was taking my blood in the middle of the night. Why? Because she was holding satanic rituals in the basement of our dorm building. That's why I've been baptized at least six times.
Now four years later I am 22 and I find myself on the side of a dead end highway, car broken down, cell phone dead and only the woods surrounding me. I sat in my car doors locked and prayed that someone would find me sitting here in my desperation and help me. But just my luck nothing made a single movement.
I glared at my phone; the damn thing had a full battery when I looked at it not 3 miles before my car died. All of my electronics died all except my camera. It's almost as if this area drained the energy out of all modern electronics. I took a deep breath sliding my phone into the back pocket of my jeans and grabbed my camera before getting out of my car.
For reasons that I still don't understand I wondered through the woods hoping that I am just a big baby and didn't notice the town right next to me because I was too scared to get out of my car. To the left side of the highway I found the western shore of Washington State but it was too close to Canada for anyone to actually be allowed there.
I ventured to the right side of the highway and I hiked a few miles through the woods to only find an abandoned town that looked like its inhabitants were taken out with force.
I brought my camera to my eye and took a picture of the front of the medium town, after I snapped the picture I examined the photo. 'Wolf Summit' written in faded white letters on a wooden sign with the number '1,999' written beneath it. My eyes scanned the photo when I froze, right in the middle there was a man standing there looking at me. Wide eyed I looked up and saw that there was nobody there, I blinked a couple of times to make sure I wasn't crazy or anything.
Nobody...
I walked farther into the town and continued taking pictures. This town was filled with the basic necessities of any beginning of a town in the way, way back years. What was weird is that everyone in these pictures looked to be from this era... Oh God if anyone ever heard me say that they would send me to an institution right away not a single thought about it.
Something else that would persuade these peoples reasons to sending me to one, they felt real, like they were here with me.
The sun was beginning to set and I decided to take one more photo and I decided to take one of the town hall. I knelled down and aimed my camera towards the building and snapped a picture. What I saw next had my body trembling in fear; there in a uniform arrangement stood at least 200 some people but the weirdest part was there were some wolves. Around the perimeter of where the people stood on and off the steps there was wolves.
Right in the middle stood the same man before; head held high in confidence, arms crossed over his broad chest and a crown atop his head. I looked up slowly and again left seeing nothing, I stood slowly and back away from the building and made my way back to my car quickly. I slammed my door close quickly and saying a silent thank you to God for the fact I have never gotten caught with my heavily tinted windows.
