It was a quarter past 1 when the doorbell rang, waking me up from the nap I took on the couch about an hour ago. Maybe I woke up a little too early. Only a little. My energy got drained from bouncing around the house all morning. I sprang up from my lazy position and bolted for the door.
My face lit up at the realisation that I will officially be seeing Thor 2 with the two best pals I have besides my family.
I swung the door, fully opening it and in an instant, my smile faltered.
Because outside my door, instead of finding Rick and Timmy like I had expected, I found Clark. Who in turn, was looking everywhere except me.
"Dad wanted me to tell you that he and Timmy can't make it." he told me in a quiet voice. "He took Timmy to the dentist because he's been having this toothache all week." he finished while my heart began sinking.
"What about after their appointment?" I asked, hope in my voice.
There is no way I’m missing Thor. I've been giddy all morning for it.
When Clark shook his head, I wanted to strangle him until he nodded. I wasn't angry, just sad that I have to wait again until Timmy got his teeth problems fixed. His comfort is more important after all.
"I see...Thanks." I muttered, suddenly feeling like the world had come down on me.
Well. I can always spend this great Saturday wrapped up in covers, drowning myself in a Glee marathon and stuffing my face with Ruffles. Yup.
I was about to close the door and begin my awesome plan B for this Saturday when Clark's foot came in-between the door and its frame, stopping it from closing.
I opened the door again and raised an eyebrow in bewilderment.
"He also said that..." he rubbed the back of his neck and had a look of hesitation.
I was growing impatient on my feet as Clark decided to mumble some mumbo jumbo I didn't understand.
"Just spit it out Clark." I ordered, rolling my eyes heavenwards.
"Dad told me to...accompany you instead?"
My mouth went dry. Clark and I watching Thor 2 together? Blimey. I'm not prepared for this. I don't what to do. What if...What if he wants to talk?
And not just talk. What if he wants to make it up to me? I don't know what reaction I'll make.
Gulp.

The drive to the mall was silent. Clark mindlessly tapped the steering wheel whenever a song playing on his sound system would end. I knew he didn't want any awkward situations with me anymore but come on. Everything became awkward between us the moment he came back from wherever he was.
Which reminded me of something I want to know but couldn't seem to ask.
I want to know why he came back so suddenly. He has a job right? And not just any job. He's a celebrity for Pete's sake! Coming home like this when he’s currently the media's top target is not normal.
Then again, it was Clark. Nothing was ever normal with him. And that’s saying something.
Clark turned right and entered the parking lot of the mall. After two minutes of searching the vicinity, he finally found a free spot on the fourth floor. It was great because the fourth floor was where the cinemas were.
It was Saturday so that means the mall would no doubt be packed with teenagers. Plus, Thor 2 is showing so that made things far worse.
"Shit." I heard Clark curse and I turned to him with a slightly surprised expression.
