i had a dream
i dreamt of being called upon
acknowledged for a job well done
asked how am i doing
i dreamt of being praised
for something i have longed
for something i died getting
i dreamt of being kept
not that i am inept
but because i'm still fighting
i was happy
i was happy
i dreamt all of these things

it's just when i woke up
i was hit by reality
and it turned out
