Six

It's been three weeks since that happened and I'm at home today as it was my day off I still had a officer outside my house day and night. It was hot today and i grab two sodas out the fridge and I walk outside to the cop car and Rick looks at me from the driver seat
"Hey you on your own?" I ask him
"Yeah" he nods looking down
"Well here I thought I'd bring you a cold drink" I say handing him the cold can through the window
"Thank you" he said taking it from my hand I look at him and smile he smiles and looks away
"You don't say much do you?" I said leaning on the car looking down at him
He looks at me his blue eyes sparkled in the sun light
He chuckles slightly as he opens the can "What do you want me to say?" He asks me not making eye contact
"I dunno" I shrug as I honestly didn't know "you just come across very quite and shy for a sheriff"
"For a sheriff?" He questions me again not looking at me
"Yeah you know sheriffs are meant to protect the town etc and you are quite and shy"
Rick chuckles shyly to as I stand there nervously because once again I felt like I put my foot in it
"Look I'm sorry Rick I've once again not thought about what I said"
"It's fine" he said looking to me I stare at his eyes and I looked down in to them they was truly amazing
"You have very pretty eyes" I say to him before I walk off

Two days later before I leave work Jess comes over to me and hands me a package
"This came for you when you was out getting coffee I forgot to give it to you"
"Thank you" I said looking at it putting in my handbag
I drive home and as I arrive there was police once again sitting outside my house I wave to them with a smile but I was truly getting the hump with it

I open the packet and I look inside seeing a disc i grab my laptop and I put it in, as I wait for it to load I grab a beer out the fridge as I close the fridge I hear noise from my lap top and it was moaning I turn around looking at the screen of my laptop and I see two people having sex
I walk closer and I recognise them it was Shane and me in my room i walk over and I shut the lid of the lap top drinking my beer pretty quick I sit down not knowing what to do.

I pick up my phone and I ring Shane and he answers
"Shane I need you here ASAP" I tell him as he answers
"Everything okay?" He asks
"Not really I got a package"
"What type of package?"
"Look I don't want to say over the phone"
"I will get there when I can" he said hanging up

Half an hour later there's a knock on the door and I open it seeing Rick and Shane standing there
"Hey" I said letting them in they walk in greeting me with a kiss
"What was this package then?" Shane asks
"Look Rick can you wait outside?" I ask him
But Shane stops him "Brooke there's nothing we haven't seen before" he chuckles
I thought I'd call Shane's bluff and I pick up the laptop and I open the lid so the screen was in front of them both
"Okay it might something you seen before but I'm pretty sure Rick hasn't" I say as I play the disc I instantly hear moaning and I look at Shane and Ricks face Rick instantly looks away when he saw it was Shane and I on the screen.

Shane slams the lid of the laptop down
"Right I've had it with all this shit" Shane yells as he starts pacing he runs upstairs Rick and I follow and he starts checking the room
"Shane baby you need to calm down" i tell him
"Brooke how can I calm down when this freak is out there, invading your privacy our privacy"
Rick steps in front of Shane and looks him in the eye
"Shane listen to me I get it your angry you need to go calm down and come back later"
"We can't go there's no unit out there they left when we got here"
"You go clear your head I will stay with Brooke till then"

Shane walks past me anger all over his face and I here the front door slam and seconds later the car speed off down the road
I look at Rick tears poured down my face and I walk past him heading back to the kitchen and I get another beer
"Shane's not upset with you his just scared, we both are for you" Rick said from behind me
"I get that" i said sipping the beer
"Did you get a note?" Rick asks me
"A note?" I look at him the I realise he was asking me if I got a note with the disc left I pick up the packet and look inside and I shake my head looking at Rick
I then realised it properly on the actual disc I open the laptop and I look at Rick walking past him sitting in the living room
"What you doing?" Rick asks
"Well I'm guessing as my little fan likes leaving notes it must be somewhere in the film so I'm going to have to watch it as Shane's not here and well I you seen enough of me naked"
I start the disc and turning the volume down and I watch it fast forwarding at times when at the end of the film the screen goes black with the words 'the end' in red come up
But that wasn't the end of the film writing in red starts appearing on the screen it said

Let me tell you a story of a girl named Brooke, she was young pretty popular young girl and didn't know what she could of had
I warned you that I didn't like sharing and you seem to have two police officers falling at your feet so I'm warning you get rid of the officers or your boyfriend and his buddy will pay the price...

I stare at the screen and I felt physically sick I put the laptop on the chair running to the sink in the kitchen and began being violently sick
Rick walks over rubbing my back holding my hair back, "I've called another unit to come over there gunna have to take the disc" Rick said rubbing my back "sorry"
"It's okay I knew you would" I said turning the tap off "Shane I need to no his okay?"
"I will radio him now" Rick said walking into the living room

"Shane's okay his on his way back"
"What am I going to do?" I ask Rick "I'm putting everyone I love in danger" I say looking at Rick "Sarah you Shane, you are all at risk because of me"
Rick walks over and sits on the coffee table in front of me
"Listen I can't make this decision Brooke"
"The whole time y'all around me I'm risking all your lives" I say wiping tears that fall down my cheeks "maybe none of you should be around me for a while"
"I understand that you feel like that but me and Shane are the only ones who can keep you safe"
"Look maybe if I keep my distance it will all stop"
"Maybe but Brooke I don't feel happy with that"
"For a shy cop you have a lot to say on this"
"Maybe that's because I care what happens" he said looking down at the ground
"Don't hide them eyes officer" I say wanting to see them
Just the Shane walks trough the front door with two other officers and a officer in a suit
Shane picks up the laptop and hands it to them and Rick walks over to them few minutes later the other officers leave and I'm left with Shane and Rick

"Brooke back a bag your coming home with me" Shane said
"No" I shake my head at him "I can't do that"
"Brooke this isn't up for discussion you can't stay here any longer"
"Shane I can't come back with you, it's not just my life in danger it's yours and its Ricks"
"What you saying?" Shane said stepping over to me
"What I'm saying is that you can't be around me neither of you"
"Baby your not thinking clearly" Shane said cupping my face
"No Shane I'm thinking clearly in not putting people I love at risk anymore, no more protection no more units outside nothing I'm sorry, till this will blows over"
I look at Rick he nods and looks down walking over putting his hand on Shane's shoulder Shane turns around pushing Rick back roughly before walking out the house Rick looks at me
"I'm sorry" I say before Rick walks out closing the door

I sit on the sofa and my phone beeps I pick it up seeing a text from a unknown number I open it reading it
Good girl you finally listened
I hold my phone in my hands before screaming out throwing it smashing it of the wall.
